How come no reports on the Tourstage 707 driver?

Looks like a good stick, Tourstage quality, why no review or feedback on the forums?

Anyone try/have this? Feedback appreciated.

I've been using it for a couple of months, have always loved TS drivers. It finally kicked my TS 901 out of the bag. A little more forgiving on heel hits and will hit any shot you want with it. Fairly long, not uber. Love the GD BB-6 shaft in it, feels great and no ballooning whatsoever. Great driver. Surprised to not hear more about it.

Ya it seems no one is using it give or take one or two people. No review on TSG about it, no word on a smaller head size coming, nothing. Kind of disappointed.

IMO ..... tourstage drivers dont get a lot of air play , even in japan.

i think its becease they might be viewed more like the professionals clubs.

my mate just bought the old 703 dg di7s last firday, which i think was made ot be a very forgiving easy to hit stlye club.

we were at hte range having a bash around

and its no more harder than anything else. wasnt overly long but was lovely to hit.

thsi model goes ok, but agaisnt the yamaha same model, the yam i thought was way better

i did the TS /YAM test a cpl of yrs back, yama was miles better

IMO

i dont see them in many bags, and no one i know has them except him

the old TS p51 ai-chan model form 3-4 yrs ago was an undergorund type of hit .

but seriosuly it was really hard and stupidly low. my bud had one and on a good day it was great on a bad day he was dead ,every drive

way to unforgiving to game, and, when theres so much more out there thats is much more forgiving

obv its TS so quality is great, but just saying its viewed as a more demanding club i think.

i saw this , and had a good look at it at he show in feb and thought while the shape looked ok, the business of the sole and the very rounded compact shape ddint appeal at all. its just looks hard to hit, hard to like

i never think to look at any TS model beceause to me they conjure up

"thouhgts of uncomfortable difficulty."

Wow, interesting. Hmm... well I still have my Egg Seven I've yet to hit - will be back in California next monday so will try it next Tuesday. Other than that, i'm looking for a driver to put my diamond X into...

Suggestions?

That new Callaway RAZR FIT is a hell of a club. I tried it the other day. Awesome. Only problem is it's not Japanese :)

The 707 is more like the 701 and 901 in terms of feel. I've had the 701, 901, 703,705, and 707. The 703 and 705 were duds to me and I think they lost a lot of momentum after the really good 701 and 901. But the 707 is back to TS feel with good forgiveness and accuracy. With a really nice shaft.

mjd.. i tell ya

get the kamui pro kp-x 9.5*

if ur not going to hit the cr 435 hit this

get it with a cpl of heavier weights.

ask i-drive what he thought of it.....

hes hit a fair few clubs in his day, he knows what its all about regardless of swing differnces.

put it this way tonight i was hiting the kpx gd p9003x in 10.5* 44.5 inch Vs the ryoma 9.5 crazy 80 ls noir. 45.5 inch

the kpx was def. longer.

but thast just what i notice. im taking both these away htis weekend to play.

control....!!

Stew,

Off topic slightly, but I keep getting Drawn to the Kamui Pro, how hard is this to "hit" as it says it's aimed at " better" golfers?

I hit a 435 head at the Mo in 10.5* , with absolutely no problems!!

  • 3 weeks later...

I bought the Callaway RAZR-FIT TOUR yesterday for adjustability. The reviews are all stellar. Great with both control and distance, no change in shaft orientation and adjustable, weights and all. The EGG SEVEN is glorious. Very nice feeling, EXTREMELY long and straight. Can't see how the Kamui could be better but at some point i'll probably give it a try.

Thanks.
