sandee11
I'm currently playing ryoma vspec 9.5 degree with cb46. I'm getting inconsistent results might be due to its length (46"), I grip it down an inch, is better but I'm not getting the result like my crazy 435ll/cb46. The ball flight is inconsistent. I have a few shafts sitting around, -Crazy tj80, attas3, crazy 80LS 2, QFE and GD DJ6( from Yamaha v425 driver), which one would be best fit in the ryoma head? My swing speed is around 110-120. Thx for the help.
Eca
What flex in cb46? Ur Ss maybe max 45" & perhaps go 'minimum' in the higher 70grams?
sandee11
7.7 flex
robbie
hmmm...maybe the guy who put together that crazy/crazy combo has magic in his builds ???
sandee11
CB46/435ll set up does feel heavier than the ryoma/CB46... That could be the answer? Both heads are from you Robbie!! Serioursly, do you know the head weight of the crz435ll?
robbie
yes...the crazy is 202g and the ryoma was 199g
sandee11
So add some weights to the ryoma head should be good.... Will try tomorrow
robbie
do the freq of the shafts match...the one in the crazy is an older version and in my opinion a better shaft......ive had quite a few of the older graphics and newer graphic crazy shafts and have always preferred the older graphics shaft
sandee11
Robbie, just received my Yamaha v425 10* with DJ6 stiff today, but don't think I can hit that shaft, what shaft do u think will be best match for the Yamaha head? I have Attas 3 7s, QFE 75 SX, 75X, cb80 LS2, CB46, Accra SE80 S, what do u think? I'm also thinking of re-shaft my egg spoon v2, currently has fubuki alpha 75S fw, kind of hitting hook most of the time..... Thinking of putting crz fw80 or the Accra SE80 in the egg. Any suggestions? Edited August 4, 2012 by sandee11
supo
egg crazy fw NO contest..... yamaha v425 if non tour get it re weighted heavier and ut he cb80 ls 2 in it or 75 x fex if tis tour then put the 75sx FEX
robbie
stew is absolutely correct about the yammies....they come in light, not the tour models but the nontour usually weighs about 191-193g which is meant to be played at 46" with a 60g shaft......the v425 tour however is set up at 45" d2 witha 67g shaft so im pretty sure your club head is about 198-199g.....if u want to playa 45" or shorter club with more heft...maybe add 2-3 g to the head.....Make sure there is not a tip weight in the hosel or else reweigh the head with hot melt to 202g ( your preferred weight ). As for shaft, i would say perhaps the QFE 75 SX or X depending on which flex u prefer.....If u reweigh the head to 202g, the cb46 will be awesome too ! sandee11
I did reshaft the ryoma with attas T3 7s, and the Yamaha v425 tour with cb46, they both have not much roll. The ryoma plays about 45.5, I hold it about 0.5" - 1" shorter. In my case, I think I'm better off with 45" driver. As for the Yamaha v425 tour, i did the same thing and works out better than playing at 46". Next to try may be the QFE 75sx and 75x in both heads! I think the crazy 435ll/CB46 combo is the longest for me. As for the egg spoon, I tried the kaili 60X, too light..... I'm going to try kaili 70s, if doesn't work out , last one to try would be Crz fw80 which right now is in my Yamaha v14 and RC 304p. Would kaili perform better than Crz FW80? supo
get a kaili 80s and put that in the egg. its a great match i got that in sydney. its perfect. keep the yanah v14 crz fw DONT touch that unles uwant more hight then put the FEX 75x or xs in it. massively powerful club that one. one of the best shaft /head matches ive ever tried the yam 14 and fex,, match made in heaven u WONT be pulling this into the trees left iassure you!
