Spoon
Set of fake 502s. Was browsing and clearly noticed the fonts. Clearly counterfeit Not to mention it has a 3iron.,. 502s were only in 4-pw.. Too bad it almost seems believable With black golds shafts and white gp mc grips.. I've filed a complaint with eBay. Hope u guys can do the same.. Current bid is up to 500+ I pity the guy who wins this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Epon-AF-502-Iron-set-Golf-Club-/170891464941?pt=AU_GolfClubs&hash=item27c9ecd0ed#ht_500wt_922

swisstrader
I just sent seller a note saying: "I know they are fake....take the auction down or I will report to both EBay and the FBI."

Spoon
i was suspicious when i saw the description it says 3-pw. 502s only came in 4-pw. also these are brand new supposedly yet the guy will stick some black golds shafts.?? upon looking at the close ups of cavities, you can tell the finish and font are off. also the depth of the cavity inner top line is too thick. after seeing epon irons on a daily basis its pretty obvious. i have emailed the guy and he says he's been buying epons for years and he bought this particular set in Scotland. lets wait for his reply
gocchin
As spoon says the dead giveaway is the rough and sharp unfinished look of the cavity. I brought the first counterfeit set Epon's attention last year and they have since discovered fake AF301's as well. Here is their note. Spoon
Guy is pulling it down and edited his listing bas counterfeit. Genuinely believe this chap has been fooled. Bought all his Epons from pure forged in Scotland but moved to Australia. He bought the counterfeit set from a mr Tony Fleming in Swanhill, VICTORIA Hope the guy gets his money back. Vegaman
So are you saying pureforged sold him fake Epons? Im a bit confused about what you mean, since you wrote he bought the fakes in Scotland, and that's where pureforged is. But then you write in the next post he bought the fakes in Victoria in Australia?
swisstrader
He pulled it down because I sent him a rather direct note earlier today....this is the response I got from him: "Excuse me you are who?? If the irons are counterfeit can you explain how you came to that conclusion as i m very interested?? These were bought from an epon dealer do you care to elaborate on your threat?? - motorbike124

idrive
When you get a nasty answer when you call someone out for selling fakes then they know they are fakes. the guys that apologize and say they didn't know.... they usually bought the fakes from the counterfeiters and really didn't know. this guy knows they're fake..... fdiplacido
Maybe this place? http://www.prodiscountgolfau.com/goods/EPON_AF_301_Irons_Head.html I saw these yesterday and thought they looked suspect, especially the upper part of the cavity. Also, notice the price of the Yururi's on the right side of the page.
vincent
the website looks alright... been in business for more than 3 years. tho we know they possibly selling fakes...
Duffer19
Epon does not permit any authorized resellers to sell heads only. The site is listing heads only which tells you a lot. Would any authorized resellers risk the right by selling heads since serial # can be traced?
coops1967
Maybe this place? http://www.prodiscou...Irons_Head.html I saw these yesterday and thought they looked suspect, especially the upper part of the cavity. Also, notice the price of the Yururi's on the right side of the page. Checked the '9' stamp against my 301's and that website 9 iron isn't right..... and the shape of the cavity, the extra weight portion with the AF-301 stamp, isn't shaped right either... no pyrimidal shape (?) see this mine the website Anyone in aus who can contact your trading standards people... ? I've emailed Epon Japan referring them to this thread and that website Edited August 29, 2012 by coops1967
