bigrin
Wow. Couple of weeks in and was expecting the honeymoon to have worn off. It hasnt. I havent had the same experience of JDM heads + shafts on here as most but I hit the longest drives I've ever hit yesterday. Have it with the crazy tj 46. I played decent yday, felt in sync but caught a couple a little off the toe early on. Its not that it doesnt affect distance - it does - but because the good ones are so good, the bad ones dont work out being so bad. The two off the toe were in line with my playing partners, where normally I'd expect to be 30 yards behind. I realise my next comment is going to sound dumb, sensationalist and self serving but its true: The good ones were AT LEAST 20 yards further than guys I play with week in week out. Of them one is at least 5 yards past me normally and the other probably in line with me. Admittedly with the wind but with Bushnells the trap was 301 - even gale behind I dont hit it that far. I hit one clean as whistle - and its like the marketing blurb - penetrating ball flight and the first bounce is hard and on she runs. Walked down there and lo and behold I was in the trap. It wasnt a freak occurence. I was consistently in places on a course I know WELL I'd never been, and just way past the other two. So much so that last few holes they were using my driver. Problem is keeping yourself under control!! Ended up 3 off tee on 17 + 18 as tried to swing out of my shoes thinking I was Bubba. Two lessons 1. FOR ME this head (+ shaft?) works better than anything I've ever hit. 2. You always want it to go further.

Eca
Awesome dude. Crazy shafts are a very sensitive fit so remember this round & vow not to change that combo :) Buy another driver or two should you get an itch but again don't change that combo. swisstrader
I wish the Ryoma/crazy combo would have worked for me but in my case I was hitting a bunch of snap hooks which is something I've never had an issue w before. I believe I made a wrong shaft choice vs any specific issue w the Ryoma head...I kinda did some guess work on which shaft would work based on the Crazy website and other input. The strange thing for me was that the shaft was a heavier shaft for me than I normally game, so thought worse case I would struggle to turn it over and be hitting it right...turns out I kept hitting duck hooks which made no sense to me. I think for those of us in the US (and perhaps others as well?), its still a bit of a mystery to get fitted properly via a website and requires a bit of guesswork which may result in some rather costly mistakes. lousifers
Yes, fitting is magic. I just went to Crazy factory in Tokyo on Tuesday and got amazing result. Will post it after I got back to Bangkok. Got a flight to catch tomorrow. Mark.
robbie
i actually went through quite a few different Ryoma crazy combinations before i found one ithat worked well.....it was very surprising.....first off, i thought 8.5 would be perfect but my magic loft turned out to be 10.5 and i went through quite a few Crazy shafts and could not find one i liked but the GD Tour AD-MD, in SR flex turned out to be the perfect fit.....The Ryoma club was very very nice, but i would not say it was long, due to its forgiveness, it bumped my average mis**t a bit further but when pured it was still shorter than my yamaha.... bigrin
Its the Vspec 9.5* Completely agree on the educated (potentially harmfully expensive) guesswork finding the right combo. Relieved (and thankful!) the gamble paid off... Very jealous of those that can get access to a proper fit - be interesting to hear how it went for you Mark. ahem. longer? wow. Might have try and get my hands on one of these Yamaha's to test..
+TourSpecGolfer
I think I may have had a similar experience to Robbie, I started thinking 9.5 and although my results were pretty nice the 10.5 was a game changer for me. With all the shafts available there should be three of four that do you right and once you figure out what those are stick with them and have a few pulls on the side that way you can give the head a good chance at staying.
