These have been used with headcovers since new so no bag chatter, dings or chips. The only wear is on the faces from contacting the ball. The 8 iron has the worst face wear as can be seen from the photos (second one from the top right) The 4 iron looks almost new as it was used rarely. The others are in between. Hi, yes they are s20c steel, but I am not sure on the grooves. I looked up the Australian distributor website, but it doesn't specify if the grooves are conforming.
