May 17, 20251 yr Author KAMUI KP-X 9.5* -matrix Hd6 sx.44 inch 312 g.built almost for looks alone. My bud had a cpl of unused marix shafts sitting about non preped i bought and re shafted a cpl of older awsome heads with them. the tp6 got the srixon zr30 which is gaming as asecondary muini driver a lot and this one got the kp-x .u know... , the the older heads are just so much nicer fhan the new in my book. so this one has a very light swing weight and itds very partial to be straight pulled in to the trees!!!!! i need to think about this, its NOT for shaping its way , way too low spin to try and get funy with , its point shoot ONLY. even when i try cut it , just doesnt wann go. funny club, not sure of this yet, its in training mode. so far im getting Very very straigh,t lower flight , i need to tee the ball quite a bit higher for any kind of launch /carry, when i get this fromthe meat my gawdddddd it goeth!!!!!forget the fact its shorter so there not as long this thing fookeeeen crushes balls but so far ive not even come clsoe to any consistencey with it its very much a project in the works. This will be a short par 4 specailsit. Im tinken its gonna finally be suitable for my home course on about 6 holes so def worth working with it..I noted vs the same build with diamana stinger, the latter is much more meaty full dense impact , both hit the balls a long way for a short build and straight.this shaft is very low spin with excellent control . imight neeed to pump up the weights in it tho........., looks, superb! ALL ROUNDER > TIE...CALLAWAY FT 9 PROTO diamana stinger 70s / kamui pro kp-01 10* diamana stinger 70sboth are great to take out on any course , distance is great , dont miss with them often, flights great. they are bag spot A+ for all conditions, wind rain, dry, they just out and out perform.ive been gravitating to these more than most for $$$$ games, when i can only game 14 clubs as opposed to my usual 20ish for muck about rounds.Favourite > tourstage p51 ai chan 701 9.5* - diamana stinger 70x.love taking this out , head shape is awosme, pear shape, small face. frames the ball well. can adjust tee height for diff shots, get out there without being short or long high nor low. feel is excepetional as ud expec with all ENDO mfg. , sound is lovely , more dull muted toing than tink, can feel the shaft thwack. + i dont lose it lateally much , it hits faiways pretty often, usually a decent way down there.looks oldschool class as well in the bag, i get questions and lookswhen i bag it BEC it dorsnt look like one of today behemouths.its a players driver and it plays awsome.can use it for consequence golf ( comp or $$$$) but id usually chose another, course dependant , def a daily driver, adn up there with the yamaha 203s for looks/class. July 22, 2025Jul 22 Author i have to give a mssive thumbs up to the royma d1 GD pt6x .i played it on the weekend, and was hitting the ball well so i got this thing to ignite! its a bit longer than normal @ 45.25 inch \, which i dont like at all but for some reason on this head it works brlliantly.fligh was perfect.i still need to tee the ball a fait bit higher to get up on it but that doesnt translate to airy, balloons with no roll. its perfect. lateral movement to a bare minimum, only movement i saw was on poor shots where i cut it a bit it just " went" right a bit, not that bad distance loss and not in the bush. good ones were RIGHT up there with any thing i have.really liked lookiung at hte head shape again, , ive not played this much at all but that wil change. its got an excelelnt combo of flight to roll, the conds were fast hot humid, no wind this EXCELLED, im gonn ahve to sy more so that the one iused last weekend , the kamui 07/stinger combo. might be bec. i was hitting ti better but i actually enjoyed it more!Might just have won a bag spot to oz for tha annual festival of the links starting in a cpl of weeks. The shaft ......... its very much about the shaft, the PT has long been a fave of mine and this iteration of it cud be the best. its got an electric click to it and a bend point thats noticeable at impact. Tits really good feel, no as tight as the DIAMANA X series, but nicer to play.i didnt find i needed to be really switiched on with it, where as the X i do.i have a 9* with a diamana ilima red 70s and against this, wasnt a fair fight, some heads seem to prefer some sahfts this is NOT an ilima match , that was startlingly evident\.this set up is , as Rors said, ineveitable. August 20, 2025Aug 20 Author LINKS....wet, windy, winter......... wonderfull!what a golf trip , i spent more time swoooshing thru puddles than hitting balls BUT WHEN I DID...... i got some VERY interesting unexpected results.took 10 drivers with me, platyed on long short , wet dry wind , 10*c 23*c adn everything in between, tried my best to pair the driver with the course of course gota cpl worng but ovver all i did it well.the 3 that shon brightest and have now been permanltaly added to the links stable whilst others have been removed are:, the beast above, ryoma d1/aliislei 63s callaway tour proto 8.5*/alisile 73s , bridgestone p51 9.5* / aliislei 63s thes e drivers have cobwebs on them as builds.the forst 2 hit the middle of most faiways with rediclous certainty , they both were not " long" but 10-15 yards make a difference when ur sitting dowen the pipes???? i think not! the p51 was long and felt insane.... its long but not that forgiving. its STILL..... a masher but it can (and does) go both ways a little laterally at times when not stuck centered.. but that got the spot in the dry/sun. it IS great. i love it lvoe it love it AND it was great in wind. just not a rain dog. THE most surprrising , was the callaway/ali combo, that launched higher and with more carry that i ever thought imaginable at my speeds , and it has the kick that jsut sends balls scurrying on great impacts. by the end , i was finding it tough not to bag every day , and if it were dry and comp, it got the spot!the ryoma got the rain days bec of the gripmaster leather on it as much as the build.its jsut SO damn relaible, the others that didnt get much play awerte he ryoma 9.5/kaili combo, too low for those conds.the jbeam 435.diamana blue 63xs, same as above not enough hang timethe kamui kp/x kaili and daiqwa labospec tataki.. all the same. they like low flat and running, not idea for thee conds i got.the rest i played in tandom with others on prac rounds.. srixon zr30/tataki 73s..callaway 9.5*/stinger, TMtp09/bimatirx. unfiortuanly they just wernt suited to the conds.if i had to choose " just one" for the tour.............................................ryoma d1/ Aliisle 63s... its just SO , SO easy to play.
August 25, 2025Aug 25 Author PRGR EGG 1.. 7.5*-diamana aliiseli 73s44.75 inch 315glong.. raking..runners.ONLY for dry fast days, easily as long as any other in my stable and a magnificent feel.eye set up is lovey at address. huge head but not a massive face which i like. def favours the right side. dont think i got itno draw once. but only missed 1 fw with it.very rewarding head that i feel gives a bit more than u put in. good miles with it.flight obv is on the lower end of mid. its not a worm burner at all.got a cpl to really soar in fact but that wasnt its forte, the ball just stopped when it landed.its preferd flight was a flat arc that gets a wriggle on. very tight dispersion. very tight and didnt feel like i needed to eat 23 eggs pregame to ignite it.veyr very good driver ill use a lot ...............when its dry.updated:been using it a but lately , and its been superb.driving the ball well of course helps, but this is adding to that.hardly missing ,let lone badly.it goes!it is for the most part, very very straight, not a mover at all , its point shoot.shaft in it has been a fabulous match , suited the head MUCH better than the labo tataki, bit higher flight, similar kind of sound but not feel, smoother softer at impact, got this with a diamana 65s ilima (red) as well and thats a very diff feel , its lighter , airier thinner BUT its powerful ,dont get the red shaft mistaken for a wand , its not.... aliislei has a diff kick as well, really like its bend point , it brings a very pleasant sound, finger feel to it. id say pretty assuradly , this is the best iteration of this head shaft combo ive had to date.one thing with it its an "all in " got at it driver and likes to have a draw swing put ont it bec with a cut swing it goes along way right quickly.the roll out with this is extreme , it specializes in dry air and on hard dry ground , get a lot more bang for your buck than u expect. this is one of the very very best. December 15, 2025Dec 15 Author jbeam j3 tour 10* ...................... 198g headsdiamana X 70s 44.75inchdiamana stinger 70x 45.25inchFINALLY manged to get my hands on one of these, built the stinger version the shaft ws slightly longer than i play but i just thought id build a bit of a distance one to see, bec i already ahve 3 other 435s @ 45 inch if it didnt work id cut it to normal play length i prefer.i had it on the range and it was tasty, so gamed it next wekeend and it was LONG and high. first thing i noted was it launched very high for a beam , i loved it.can def notice the extra lenght in hand esp with the slimmer perfect pro grip instead on the cadero , it really does make those bunkers u see on the tee almost........., dissapear ,that might be a bit placebo but its a thing, i flew a cpl id other wise avoid with another set up.very much the Jbeam feel , very hard off the face and instant repulsion is not for everyone, i know a lot of guys dont kike that feel , but when u see the results, thats kinda forgiven.the extra length does come at a cost. i was " spraying" this , or rather , disperion was higher more than the other beams i have in play , but i didnt mind it , i didnt loose anythng so to speak , its jsust not as point shoot as im used to, eps for a beam which above all else IS the straight shooter of straight shooters.so......... another one came up.i pounced , took a diamana X 70s from a yamaha v203 id been testing and went toe to toe with the stinger.toe to toe = chalk and cheese.there is NO, zero, nada, nish, similarities in the profile , feel , play characterisits of these 2 DIA shafts. The X , is the like a gun shot, sounds different, feels differnt runs differnt. its tighter ,its lower and its straighter.I dont quite get the length i do with the stinger bur it NEVER diverts form its aligned path.................... ever.its penetrating, it gets oodles of run and thereis no possiblility of over powewring this, absolutly zero chance. tbh im under gunned for it but my god when i get bit into it, it reponds and then some.its easier on the eye than the 435, its a bit smaller ,not as boxy , more.. refined. there is No pieces missing form it either , its a whole driver head.if ur a fan of the 435, then this is like its little brother, its the repalacemnt for the 425 tour , and its better.cant get these out of my bags since ive buiilt them.................................UPDATE: Ive got these fully wired now ,had oodles of games with them. know them like the back of my hand, they are a little differenrt personailty wise despite having the exact same head specs.the X shaft is a lazer rod.!! it almost impossible to move this about laterally ( on purpose) , its not as long distance wise as the black proto but its NEVER anything other that exact. its 100% precision, its unreal. it might be as clsoe to top of the ronge as i have over all i after the weekends games.the black protos got more length to it and is sliglty more moveabel although i think that might be the kick point is more noticealbe. agin its goin round the corner. ut i do feel i have more ability to draw it ever so slightyl than the X. changing the grip to a leather gripmaster so i can use this in the wind/rain. its that kind of club.* both are NOT as long as the 435 (but not much is) ...,they are definaitly for top courses where u can safely put a robust swing on, and have very little fear the ball will go assunder!!!!!about as good as a set up can get when ur on song , simple as that AND they both look superb at address. Very direct Very electric. It's an out and out. Bomber................strewth!!! got this out to game yesterday. this plays longer @ 45.25 inch and its noticeble.looks long at address.high face angle but rounded elongate face makes it look very amenable to hitting draws and it can and does ,but its NOT a hook machine at all.misses were straigt h to slight fade even with a robust draw swing. the shaftt is impossible to over power. i played on a a very tough driving course and missed the centre of the club quite a bit but never lost a ball ob, worst result was in 2nd cut , easliy playable.its long , this goes big.. very big. had to play with the tee height to get it wired.not too high , the loft on the head is pretty significant. feel is sensational.... its very alive.great sound, higher tink. gives good feedback.no point trying to hit anything other than bombs , its a bomber.had a cpl of right up there shots that were .oh yea!! FUN , all bidddness kinda personality , get the job done and move on kinda thing.-it has a lower more piercing flight i, cudnt elevate this really i liked the flight , but again all biddness, wasnt " awsome", jsut nice shot move on to the next shot.- into the wind excellent , with the wind i was expecting MUCH more. I did get oodles of cheat miles with it, on the run on short dry winter grass it ran like a honey badger.-shaft match was not for me, *fujikura ventus *but this added nothing at all. in fact for an X flex it was pretty soft, not bad , but not X and but nothing like my X in the stinger and the dia X .-abilty to shape the paradym, virtually zero , its point shoot.I didnt really like the new models impact at all , way prefered the old model.OVER ALL i wasnt very inspired nor exicted by this and i wasnt dissapointed, I was kinda hoping i wud have had a bigger smile , i mean it goes and goes well , BUT i was more than a little surprised by the " lack of distance " it didnt get vs the older model , i was kind of expecting to see it 10-20 yards past my one but nope. zero difference.i did like the safety look aspect to it, on a tough driving course where the faiways are thin, i thnk this wud be great. ( not with that shaft) cud see a role for one of these shaped heads ..... on links maybe.they just look enormous to my eye , similar to the tylor made blue thing, it hits the ball, thats it. i def prefer this one to the TM but from what i saw, im not gonna scurry out and grab one. so far of the newer drivers ive hit offer nothing substantial to make me grab one , they lack personality. they ahve no character, thye have no genk thye are just inanimate blocks.maybe one day ill grab someting like this for comp in the wind but over waht i have , sorry i was left feeling more than a little flat.il wait another 10 yrs , untill then the 2011 ft has its spot assured.
