Found this When I was searching google for crazy TJ80 ......

1st question--Is it true that MRC makes most of the crazy shafts? So crazy doesn't make their own shafts? Hopefully tario can clear this up?

2nd-- does crazy tj80 play similar to diamana x?

Thx!

Sandee,

Golf republic is a Singapore golf site run by dgman i think and who is in the club fitting business. He just brought in the diamana x and sells it. He does not sell crazy, quadra etc. What he says about mrc making for crazy MAY be true... I do NOT know. What I do know is that site is heavily biased towards whatever he sells ... He has his own house brand as well... And I take whatever I read there, especially from him, with a quarry of salt especially with regards to product recommendations as his views understandably can very very biased as it is a business for him.

I have seen his club fitting before and there are some instances which prompt me never to use him. Just me of course and there are some who are very happy with his services and they tend to be the more frequent posters on his site where I think active posters are not that many.

I was surprise that someone make that kind of claim and didn't even sells crazy shafts. Of course I'm not saying who's right or wrong, just sharing /asking question I have. I found it interesting, that why I post here to share. Like I said, I have no clue if is true, just would like to know more, that's all......

Myself, Tario, Tatsuro & TourSpecGirl have all watched Crazy Shafts being hand made in their factory from start to finish.

In fact I believe 4-5 members from this forum have seen that factory as well right next to their HQ after a fitting.

Mitsubishi making Crazy?? That is the first time I have ever heard that!

Maybe Crazy makes makes the Diamana X since its Mitsubishi's first real move into high modulus carbon? (^_^)

Truth is MRC and Crazy have no relationship at all.

Crazy is run by a bunch of very hardcore enthusiasts more like you and I.

MRC is a huge carbon fiber and composites company that goes far beyond golf.

They have very different mindsets as well as manufacturing techniques and philosophies.

Crazy is growing very quickly and when it comes to their high modulus shafts, are designed and manufactured 100% in house. All their research and development and testing are performed by their long drive competitors and golf pros. They have a huge huge enthusiast following in Japan which has allowed them to grow so quickly.

"the MRC chief and rep will be in Singapore on Mowen's big day. you are invited to hear it from the horses mouth."

DGman

I wonder what makes him so confident?? If I live in Singapore, I'll go there for sure! Just want to see what they will say......... Also, I don't think TJ80 very close to Diamana X...... At least on paper.......

If MRC makes Crazy then I have no idea what is going on in that Crazy factory full of employees rolling carbon sheets.... curing them and then finishing them.

They may be confused with MRC supplying carbon sheets/material,,, but that is a huge difference between supplying materials and actually producing the shafts. Quadra is another supplier of Carbon sheets as well but MRC is probably one of the bigger carbon producers.

I actually have a call with Crazy tomorrow and will ask who supplies their materials.
