Posted November 25, 201212 yr comment_192396 Ok guys help me out. Only choosing between the mentioned shafts Only consider crazy with an actual fitting in japan!
November 25, 201212 yr comment_192399 I have tried 3 of the 4 mentioned here. My vote goes for Diamana X - Seems to give me best dispersion for me without sacrificing feel even though it is an X flex. BB7 S is a close second place for me great feel and trajectory. Proto FEX did not provide good feel for me perhaps I needed a Stiff instead of an XS. I have not tried the Z9003 but I have tried the older 9003 in S and really liked it.
November 25, 201212 yr Author comment_192405 Different animals here. Do elaborate? Nob, had the proto 75s in a 102 one of my all time favorite shafts I should consider that again seriously! The bb7s and diamana x intrigue me But being I'm a stinger fanatic keeping it in the diamond family would make sense? How would u compare the diamana x To stinger? Stinger is high high
November 25, 201212 yr comment_192406 I have never had a Stinger unfortunately. Diamana X to me is the most stable shaft I have used to date, I think Diamana X is mid launch - low/mid spin. I usually play an S flex with most shafts and I was initially worried that this Diamana X 70X would be too much for me. but I can still feel the head and getting good distance and good dispersion with my AF102 8.5* combo. I have tried a CB50 Black 7.7 in this head before, but did not have much luck. I was not able to feel the load on the shaft. I guess my swing style and tempo suits the Diamana X better. FYI My SS is around 110 to 115 mph with a smoother transition. ( not abrupt ) I have used the FEx Proto in 75 X and it felt much stiffer in a Zero head. I have since re-shafted the Zero with a Basileus Z 70 S which I played today for the.first time and loved it. I can really feel the head now and impact is much more Epon soft. I just like softer/smoother feeling shafts in general, but the Diamana X even in X flex is so smooth that X flex feels good to me.
November 25, 201212 yr Author comment_192407 Thanks for your inputs. Of the crazy shafts ive tried find them stiffer to flex. Hence importance of fitting I had 2stingers in x and did ot find them stiff considering I'm 110 at most. I've just trimmed down choices to diamana x and BB7s!
November 25, 201212 yr comment_192418 Love the BB shafts. Low launch low spin, but with a softer feel. Currently use Ahinas and they feel like crap in comparison.
November 26, 201212 yr comment_192443 I think a lot of it has to do with getting the right flex and weight shaft. I struggle with this constantly. I play an x flex in the Fubuki K series and it feels very good to me. I got a Crazy 80 II in 7.7, and I couldn't feel it load. I changed to the Crazy LS Noir 7.4, and now I worry that it may be alittle too whippy for me. I just purchased a Quadra Fire Express Max WBQ in SX flex and it is on the way. I have heard some really good things about this shaft so I am excited to give it a whirl. I go back and forth between stiff and x flex depending on the shaft. I think that I really live in between these flexes, so I am hoping that the FEX in SX hits the spot. I tend to play shafts in the 60 gram range, rather than the 70+ gram range.

Seems similar to me. I also have a Motore Speeder VC 6.2 Tour Spec in X flex and it feels significantly stiffer than the Fubuki in X flex. Surprisingly, I seem to hit both well. If I ever buy another stiff flex shaft, I will buy one in the 70 gram range. Can you feel a difference when torque drops below 3.0? All my shafts I have played have been in the 3.0 - 3.5 range for torque.
