wmclarenf1
Apart from the torque differences, what are the other differences between the Longest Yard TJ-46 shaft and the TJ-46 Noir shaft? More particularly in the areas of the tip stiffness, kick points and butt stiffness. Which launches higher and spins more? And importantly, are the flex ratings for both the same seeing the torque levels are different enough e.g. does a LY TJ-46 6.7 flex CPM and plays equally stiff as the TJ-46 Noir 6.7? If not, which is softer? Thanks. Edited December 12, 2012 by wmclarenf1
corky3
Short answer...... not a lot. I have had the original TJ46 in 6.7 flex in a 102 head and now have a Noir in 6.9 in a 103 so I guess it isn't really an apples to apples comparison but if I was pressed I would say the latter combo was slightly highr launching and maybe slightly softer feeling but a part of that is going to be the head. Mr. T would be the authority on what the shaft characteristics are supposed to be. Either are good shafts

gocchin
No difference between both TJ-46 models. They are the same shaft but was slightly rebranded when Crazy realigned their products. Corky has the Longest Yard 01 Nero now actually which is a different shaft from the TJ-46.
