boycer11
Can anybody compare forgiveness and distance of these two drivers? I hit the Crazy 460 10.5 with a crazy ly 01 hot 6.9 fles. It feels really good, first few holes I was slicing it really bad. OB bad. My swing speed is around 100-105. Wondering if my swing spped is to much for the shaft. I did move back on the ball a bit and hit a few really nice drives. Debating on picking up the d-1 and just selling the crazy.
MoreBeerBetterGolf
The Japanese clubs and high modulus shafts play differently than what you're used to. I've found that they make you turn your hands over more. It's actually a good thing as it has made me more aware of my release which was pretty poor and inconsistent before. Hit it some more you'll get used to it. My egg with fw80 in it was the same way. Now it's money.
boycer11
Thanks for the information. Now if I can just get out to the range.

Alot of the "standard" drivers that are all over the market is made to have a hook bias, because most of the population is trying to cure a slice. So it just takes some getting used to. The Crazy 460 is a really forgiving head. I love that crunch when I hit it on the button! :)

First premium I had was Quadra Fex & it was semi Block right for a few rounds until I started releasing and turning it over more.

I notice when I hit the regular brands with lower modulus shaft it is easier to release. I was wondering if there is a high modulus Japanese shaft what is easier to release. shacco
Boycer11, if you decide to let go of the crazy head, I might be interested. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
boycer11
Thanks for all the information guys. Winter weather is horrible. We will see when I can get to the range. Shacco, I will keep that in mind. I just got it this week from Edgolf on here and only hit it about 7 times, so I should probably give it some more time. MoreBeerBetterGolf
When I first put the FW80 in my Egg, and Crazy UT in my Egg 4i+, and went to the range I was like "OH NO WHAT HAVE I DONE!" Pushes and slices and I NEVER slice. By the end of the session I was crushing it back to my normal ball flight. It will just take some time...So much American gear is anti-right it isn't even funny. It has taught a whole generation of golfers, IMO, to not release properly through the ball. The high modulus carbon and square to open face angles of the Japanese high end stuff will teach you to release. It has for me anyways. MoreBeerBetterGolf
I might have to come up north for a range session to get some pointers. ha ha You'll always welcome of course tomorrow supposed to snow and have high winds so golf is off the radar it seems indefinitely now. :( You'll quickly get the hang of the setup, like anything there is an adjustment period. You have a great setup, but again the gear just seems more anti left than US stuff. I am afraid if I went to a GI driver US style I would be hooking balls straight left. panicmotion
hey morebeer, where do you normally go to hit the range in the winter months? i live in chicago and normally hit up the diversey range along the lake when i get the opportunity. i hate that they only have mats to hit off of though. MoreBeerBetterGolf
Ditkas in Bolingbrook, Des Plaines golf center, I also am in Bloomington - Normal frequently and they have a really nice heated range as well. In winter I hit a lot of balls at home in my heated garage into a net. I've got 800 balls at home and a big field to hit balls in at home when it's nice out. :D
panicmotion
oh man, you got it good, buddy. my little 850 sqft condo in the city allows for nothing of the sort, except wishing i had enough room to swing a golf club somewhere. Yeah can't complain just wish it would translate into better results on-course.
