Henry
Ok, so I am going to take the plung into the dark side and go with Ryoma D1 Premia Driver. If spending that much money, I might as well go deeper and shaft with Crazy. Need help picking the right combo. Only requirment is the shaft has to be 44.75 length. Presently play Tourstage X-Drive 705 455 8.5 degree loft is the upgrade Diamana a'hina 60 in stiff flex (PM me if interested in purchase). Shaft "feels" a little tough for me to handle in the S flex. Current Driving Distance is about 230 yards. Swing speed is is about 95mph. 8 handicap. I have always had a tendancy to hit high shots so would like to keep 8.5 loft but go with a med or high kick point Crazy shaft to offset the true loft of Ryoma. Not sure what the weight of the Ryoma head should be for balance purposes with the 44.75 length requirment, Looking for neutral bias shaft as well. Thanks for your input! Vegaman
The Premia is basically just fitted with a longer shaft than the other Ryomas, plus it has a hooked face. It sounds like you should go for the V-spec and not the Premia
vincent
Try 519 prototype in 65s? Mid launch and vspec is low launch head! Very... Doubt u should go for 8.
RIduffer
I thought V-Spec was for harder hitters… Although an extreme example, similar to the Zero in that regard. While others can hit it on the sweet spot the performance is not in-line with the strike quality... No offense 230 yds doesn't sound like a harder hitter... Would agree that the loft is too low and should try a higher loft, with a shaft that can lower the trajectory...
Henry
Looking at the Premia or even the just the D1, not the V-Spec. I think Tario said with all things being equal, the Premia may be a tad longer. I need that extra distance! Willing to go with 9.5 but then looking at Crazy Med High Kick point shaft? Eca
Premia is longer due to the longer stock shaft & being draw bias. With the crazy shaft, you should be safe in the R-SR or around 6.4 - 6.7 flex depending how smooth you are in transition. At your SS & truly a high ball hitter, gian11 is at same SS with a vspec 10.5 cb46 6.7 & it's a great combo.
Vegaman
What i mean is that you are going for a driver that is 44.75 and sets up square and the whole thing with the Premia is that it comes standard fitted with a longer (46.5) shaft and a hook face. So, the V-spec or maybe the standard D-1 with higher loft then.
boycer11
I'm excited to have a ryoma premia head coming. I picked up a speeder vc 6.2 stiff cheap to try at first. My seing spped is 100-105, but I tend to hit the ball low. If that shaft doesnt work, I might look for a quadra fe 65s.
