I am thinking that the Aerotechs are a gateway drug to high mod carbon iron shafts.

Ha ha, that's pretty funny and may not be far off. I have not been able to see any clear spec data on the Recoils. Are they a high modulus carbon, or is it the "19 layers of carbon" that makes them what they are?

I don't think the Recoils are high mod, but the tech they claimed with the IS series was something like Low Hoop something...

High mod carbon iron shafts for me pretty well define the law of diminishing returns.

So of course I want some.

Well, based on that previous post seems lilt the Recoils are the next step in your journey. That is assuming you believe that people are moving from Aerotechs to Recoils...

i like your analogy.

i have tried GD tour ad, Axiv , quadra and they were all very good.

i just reshafted my set with the aerotechs. i think i will only be using

steel on my wedges for the foreseeable future.

I am afraid of being reduced to steel in my wedges. Not only is it relatively more expensive, it also makes me worry that the 10% loss in distance each couple years won't be a reversible trend.

I hope i dont offend anyone by saying since i include myself in this group, but methinks the demographics of TSG includes mostly 40+ year old equipment junkies.

Gamed my aerotechs for the firsttime today.

I have gained some yardage and height.

No balooning. I like em but think i may be suited

More for the players spec..

Those might be too taut.. I am a monaco s user and found the i110 much stiffer..

The i95 is actually perfectly flexed just light

Have a demo?

never played the nippon protos, just the spb's. but vs the monacos, the i125's at the standard length are tad stiffer and take a bit more to load but still smoother. at 1/4-1/2" over standard length the steelfibers felt better than any steel shaft i can recall since the original rifle precisions. since i don't like anything over standard length i think soft stepped once would be perfect for me.
