Posted January 16, 201312 yr I'm currently in the market for a utility club. Has any body used the Yamaha 2013 Inpres X Utility? I was wondering how it compares to other utility clubs like PRGR egg, RC, Epon 901, Srixon z-utl.
January 16, 201312 yr different animals iron ute and hybrid like ute. which do you want? Yeah, you asked it better than I did...
January 16, 201312 yr Was going to do a hybrid utility in 18 or 19, and a iron utility in 22. that makes sense. for iron like utility you cant go wrong with the 901 or the srixon zut. those are very very good and more forgiving than say your 4 iron. others have also tried the PRGR egg irons, they make nice utilities and are a cross between iron ute and hybrid ute. for hybrid ute i like the RC. they make one of the finest utes. BUT for full out Utilities nothing will kick out the original adams PNT2. very very nice and compact head.
January 16, 201312 yr I am sure the Yamaha is an excellent club. Buy it and give us a review. :) I have an Egg 4i+ utility and can't say enough about it from a practical use standpoint. The thing is so easy to use from any lie, long, etc. I had a 3i+ as well but there didn't seem to be a big difference in distance so I sold the 3. 4 is 21* and 3 is 19*.
January 16, 201312 yr yea ive had a cpl of yamaha utes. 21-22 * liked the feel and control , they were pretty dead straight but they dint really suit my eye. got i nthe air very easily, very easy to hit utes. simplicity is a word to use here
January 18, 201312 yr Author Has anybody hit the new Srixon Japan 2012 Z-UTI Utility? How does it compare to the Epon 901 and the 2011 Z-UTI?
January 18, 201312 yr Has anybody hit the new Srixon Japan 2012 Z-UTI Utility? How does it compare to the Epon 901 and the 2011 Z-UTI? I have both the 2012 Z-UTI and the Epon 901. Both are great iron-like utilities. The Z-UTI feels more solid and hits it a bit lower than the Epon.
January 22, 201312 yr The Miura HB-3 20* has become my go-to club. Goes and goes, high or low, best hybrid I've ever hit, fairway, rough, or tee. No ballooning, great sound, smooth as silk. Surprised I don't see it talked about more.
January 28, 201312 yr The EGG Utilities are hard to beat. The sole design is idiot proof without sacrificing performance.
