Posted January 19, 201312 yr I have had my "special" putter for some time now and it has not left my bag. I have however suffered from consistency - key to this has not been able to get the consistent hit off the club face. I tried the "cack handed" grip (left hand below right - I am a RH player) two days ago and it's transformed everything. I am now getting a consistent hit (you can hear it every time), really good role and the line of putting stroke sublime. I can also feel the club head better. Happy days!
January 21, 201312 yr ive tried everyting including that method sometimes its great. other times icant get distance right but accuray is better. i still give it a whirl mid round if im having a shocker. on short puts i find i have a btter chance of holing
January 21, 201312 yr Author I have now spent three days using it and have to say its giving me consistent results. I play "just 9" - which is 3*3 putts - 1*3 at 10ft, 1*3 at 25ft and 1*3 at 50ft - you have only one putt each time - best I have achieved is +7, no 3 putts. Will stick with it me thinks.
January 21, 201312 yr I am a fan of the reverse grip also. Find I have much better alignment and distance control...
January 23, 201312 yr The Corey Pavin "palms out" grip worked well for me. One of the best putters in my Monday night league plays a 2 ball Odyssey and stands like 3 feet away and has the toe of putter tilted way into the air. When it comes to swinging a driver or irons, there's proof that certain techniques will generate more distance, accuracy, power, etc. When it comes to putting, it's whatever works, man.
