MoreBeerBetterGolf
This is why I never buy the "limited edition" concept by any manufacturer as I've said in the past. Saying limited edition is basically marketing fluff to make you think you're special because you now own 1 of x set of clubs or putter or whatever. Doesn't bother me one iota...I don't buy gear to collect it or to hope one day to make a profit...I own it to play it, so could care less if there are 10,000 sets made or 100. I don't buy something because it is limited either. I buy it for looks and performance. Yet if I pay the requisite premium for a limited model it's complete BS if they start making them again. Not only does it make early adopters feel like chumps, it also rewards the people who waited with a "new and improved" model. Guess we'll see. Jarri
Baby Blades and Personals...Jekyll and Hyde of the blade market...so different in my opinion. I agree they are 2 different animals altogether... but I am more worried about digging too much with Epons after having them bent 2 degrees stronger. If someone who did this with their personals could share if these are still quite ok for a digger/driver profile, I'll happily bend them 2 degrees. I can adjust to changes in full swing distance quite easily... if they are half a club weaker in loft, most probably they are half a club short... it's more around the less-than-full swing shots (say a low 8 iron to 120 yards where my full swing 8 iron goes 155).. i have a 'feel' for how much I need to put on the ball for those less-than-full shots... with lofts change, it can mean adjusting to changes in distance at all levels... that's going to take a long time and a lot of rounds. Took me 6 months to adjust to 53° Miura wedge on half-shots coming from 51° Mizuno wedge.... all my chips, pitches etc will just be short.. if I put a little extra, they'd be very long... just couldn't get the right distance for a very long time. MoreBeerBetterGolf
Ask baddmnkey his are 2* strong and he's a divot taker. Mine are 2* strong but I am more of a picker so I'm not much help.

jaygolf
Ordered. thanks everyone. One more question as I cannot find the bounce specs for personals anywhere. I am currently playing Miura babyblades which are 2 degrees stronger than epon personals... I do not want to adjust my distances as will be playing both interchanging. Is it safe to bend epons 2 degrees stronger... I am a digger and play in soft conditions. Everywhere i have read personals have a digger profile with blunt lead edge and normally epons have quite a bit of bounce so decreasing the bounce 2 degrees by bending the 2 degree stronger should be ok? Anyone who bent their personal stronger? I haven't tried mine yet so I have no idea. But prepare yourself for a shocker. I also switched from baby blades last year and everything looked huge in comparison, the offset differnce....Alternating between both sets will be tricky. Depends. Some players, Stew for example, don't mind playing different sets of clubs every day of the week, I do.
swisstrader
How so? I would agree with Jay...almost NO golf gear appreciates in value over time EXCEPT putters and that's mainly for Scotty's. Witness when one of our members here tried selling Epons top of the line Zen in near new condition and was selling at a discount even though its limited edition w only 300 made. And that's for their hottest putter. We all know that JDM drivers, while they hold more value than their US counterparts, sell for about half of their retail price the minute you take off the shrink wrap. jaygolf
How so? Limited to 300 I couldn't care less. But if I pay a ridiculous premium for a 10 or even 3...and all of a sudden they come up with another 10, I wouldn't be very happy.

Yeah.. the Circle T thing is interesting... I've seen Circle T's from dubious sources which is even more intersting LOL. And you shrink wrap comment. I don;t think its half but close :-).. Yikes, I better not touch my brand new Romaro 460HX Black head that arrived today.

DaleUK
But we would be forever waiting, as another 6 month down the line a newer model would be here!

And think it was a 30 year wait from when the first Personals were issued. I'm okay with that kind a time frame and still call it limited. If I knew there would be a refined version in 6 months I would have waited... exactly......! the word limited to me indicates............ theres not a mass production. the price tag on limited also indicates its.LIMITED. i dont buy wither to make coin, but iwoudl DEF have waited if i knew the new improved version was 3 months away! still great clubs, but id they do make a new pserosanl now im gonna get psssssssssssssssssssssssssed BIG TIME

Epon should never use the word Limited ever again and we should NEVER believe Limited is very limited from Epon.
