gocchin
There is a new tool available here called Fullmiere and it is awesome. This is the tool to tell you what your swing really is doing. I just got a test unit here and this is the unit that will make me a better golfer. The Red Eyes Pocket was great but doesn't really tell you what is wrong with your swing. This does! Bluetooth connectivity with your smart phone. Attaches right to your shaft and takes measurements 500 times per second. Is not affected by different grips or hand positions since the unit is right on your club. Measures you swing speed through your ENTIRE swing, tells you if you are on plane, whether your attack angle is a level blow, upper blow or down blow. Records whether your swing path is inside out or outside in. Even tells you your face angle at impact! Measures you tempo on the upswing and downswing. Records your shaft movement and swing through the entire swing for playback. Keeps all the data so you can compare and compare to other golfers! Here are some pics of the screens for Fullmiere. It captures data live real time to your smartphone via bluetooth while you are swinging (the unit is just charging in the photos). You can use any club with the unit and it works for lefties and righties. Awesome tool to see what your swing is actually doing. The swing playback also plays back your swing in real time or slow motion and you can see at all points of your swing your actual swing speed ie make sure your speed peaks at impact, not before or after. You can see all the views of your swing a 360* 3D view which is very cool. Fullmiere also made a youtube video to show the features: They have an English video and the app for your smart phone is english but all the instructions are in Japanese so I am working on a translation. The unit is available now and I will be doing a writeup on the blog. At product launch only the Android app is ready, iphone/ipad will follow at a later date. It needs a micro usb cable which is not included but most people probably own due to their smart phone. Any questions fire away!

RIduffer
Price and availability? Also how does this compare to other products like GolfSense?
gocchin
That was fast.... bogeydog and jimmieboi, thanks for being the first ones to jump aboard! (^_^) Golfsense... i just checked it out, is attached to your hand, this is on your shaft so measures the actual speed of your club. Golfsense also does not measure, impact ie level blow, down blow, etc. or swing path ie inside out, outside in, or face angle at impact. Baddmnkey
Any issues with paint jobs on graphite shafts? Could be a concern depending on how it attaches to the shaft. I would guess we would be able to use some type of insulator between the shaft and the Fullmiere (ie some type of rubber material). Ian-500
Does the name 'Fullmiere' mean anything? It sounds french.......
gocchin
Its a plastic attachment/bracket with foam where it actually contacts the shaft. It could potentially cause rubbing on the shaft but it fits pretty firmly and then uses a rubber ring/band to secure... Here is a pic though I think the front of the bracket should overlap the edge of the grip which in that case would allow for no hard parts of the bracket to come in contact with the shaft, just the foam under the bracket. gocchin
I stuck it back on another driver and took another picture... foam at the front and the back is on the grip.
tomcat
Quick question. How can it read the openning of the club face? Set up and calibration would be a big factor no? Edited February 1, 2013 by tomcat
RIduffer
Are there specific Android platforms that are/aren't supported? How long before IOS app?
gocchin
Quick question. How can it read the openning of the club face? Set up and calibration would be a big factor no? The unit has to be aligned perfectly square with your shaft... i think it may NOT take the face angle of your driver into affect. So when it senses impact it calculates the angle of the shaft to the ball assuming you have a square faced driver. If it says you hit it with a 0* face angle and your driver is 1.5* closed it probably means you hit it 1.5* closed. This is my guess but I would have to ask Fullmiere on Monday. Android 2.3 and 4.x are fine. Iphone/ipad app is listed as coming soon.
Guest kbeasley
I want this now! How do I order one?
hardboiled
This might have the same issues as the Swingbyte with alignment, slippages and the rubber attachment breaking? Have you guys seen the Skypro? Looks like better idea of attachment and alignment.
gocchin
The Fullmiere is not easy to slip, I cannot even budge it once it is attached to the club. It is on totally solid. The alignment sounds interesting though for the Skypro. Will be testing this weekend the Fullmiere. You do go through an initial alingment or calibration at setup.
