Duffer19
HM has been one of my favourite brand and I bought this MG8 quite a few years ago. Like the weight of the putter so much (particularly on fast green) that went out and bought another one for use on different continent. Unfortunately the teflon black wore out after a few years of use and the putter looks very tired. Being a cheap guy that I am, I took the putter back to HM for refurbishing instead of using the more expensive services. I had the coating changed to a more durable bronze colour treatment but no grinding or face milling fearing a change of weight which is the key to this putter. Here is the before and after pictures. (Note: The after pictures were taken after 6 games of use after refurbishing.) Edited February 18, 2013 by Duffer19

idrive
Are you happy with the refinish?
Duffer19
I took the putter to the local agent here in HK who is Japanese. My requests were simple, recondition the putter to the new finish, change to a new HM putter grip (choice of original rubber in black or brown leather) and a new HM hc. It took about 5 weeks as it has to go back to Japan and cost me about $200. No milling on the face was done except some light polishing around the edges. Duffer19
Are you happy with the refinish? The refinish is first rate and putter weight remains the same. The new finish is just so slightly harder or firmer in feel than the original teflon finish.
