+TourSpecGolfer
Tatsuro is a very accurate and consistent ball striker. Always straight & long with awesome energy transfer. His swing speed is in that 102-105ish range and he can work the ball at will. We like him testing clubs for TSG because the data we collect makes sense. Put me on the LM and I'm all over the place depending on the day. We took a bunch of clubs to the range, this wasn't his first time with the XV. In this thread I'm going to post data from several different drivers, these shots all hit at the same time. Perfect conditions, no wind, the Flight Scope was set to medium roll and generic ball as this was a range ball. Later I will post what happens when we put a uber high end shaft into these very same heads to compare the difference. This is nothing scientific just having fun with the clubs we test. Next up Tatsuro's gamer of more than a year. The J-Beam 425 Tour with Muziik 787 Stiff.

jimmieboi
What launch monitor is that!? Can you have it in pro shop ( if it not too cost )!?!? It would be cool to have it in my garage.
wmclarenf1
Chris, Is the data for the different drivers collected on the same day? If not, and if Tatsuro has the time and legs, it would be more ideal if all were hit on the same day. That way, its the "same swing" on that day hitting all the drivers. Just a thought. hornyjuan
What launch monitor is that!? Can you have it in pro shop ( if it not too cost )!?!? It would be cool to have it in my garage. I think it's a Flightscope which runs around $7k depending on what bells and whistles you want. Edited May 14, 2013 by hornyjuan
gian11
Trackman IIIe is even more expensive, price ranges from $16K to $26K.
ant
TM II can be had for about 10k these days especially if you want indoor version for your shop/garage. indoor and outdoor is the same device its just software licensing is different cost for indoor/outdoor. you can buy outdoor session time with indoor version when you need it. coops1967
Very nice shot pattern from Tatsuro - looks like a bit flatter lie would get it more centred rather than left biased .... just kidding.... kind of. Incidentally, i did find the 'sharpie' lie angle can work on a driver, but use a paint pen rather than marker (used a cheap one from a Daiso shop). The paint doesn't dry off so quickly and leaves a clear line on the impact tape. Would be very interested to see results of it with a consistent swing like that. Use one of those putting ball marker aids and use the paint pen to put a line on ball, put on tee with line vertical and blast away.... use impact tape as you don't want ink on your driver's face (!), and if the tape has horizontal lines it makes it easy to line up and then measure for lie uprightness etc. (My marks were ok for lie at 56 1/2 deg lie, but major heel strike tendency... oops). ant
@coops supo should be sending me long hosel nike vr tour with nunchuk. hopefully i can get away from a computer and do some tests and tweaks on it at some point soon to figure out to what degree things are affected with the help from launch monitor and impact tape. i think that combo should be well suited for testing like that. i know it wont be conclusive to anyone but me, very interesting stuff nevertheless. These are as you suggest. All same day within the same hour. We have a trackman IIIe here and a flightscope X2. We didnt pay for either so being unbiased the two both do the same thing for our needs Both pull the same accurate numbers as they are both Doppler based systems. The TM IIIe has weather and premium ball normilization which is cool but its visuals are not as pretty as the X2. For the purpose of web I like the imagery to be sexy. TMs engineers told me they are working on sexy graphics for a summer release. If its good Ill order one. I will post tatsuros gamer Jbeam 425 + 787 and the 388 today data today.
