Feedback on Yamaha V203 Inpres X Tour Driver

Recommended Posts

Greetings Friends

Anyone gaming this and can compare against last years model?

I am gaming last years model with the Diamana X 70g X shaft - love it, but would like it a little lighter in the shaft, so thinking of going this years head with the Diamana X in the 60g version.

Appreciate feedback.

Thanks!

I have a buddy who lives nearby who has one and I re shafted it twice for him. I haven't gamed this a single round but have hit it quite a few times next to the 388. It's pure, long, beautiful yet also demanding. Compared to the 388 its a lot less forgiving imo. I'm not a great ball striker.

-Been playing this for the last 3 months w/ Diamana X 70

-Previously gamed the T.388 w/ same shaft for about a month but prefer the V203

-Compared to '12 Tour head which I gamed for a year, the head looks cleaner more traditional.

-The feel and sound is the biggest improvement they've made; less metallic sound and feel off the face is crisper.

I think the Yam is more carry less roll than the 388. Overall distance I would give to the 388. Also a pure strike on either is a pure strike, I would think the poorer ball striker will opt for the 388. The better striker will opt for whichever they think looks better at address...

Have a v203 with Roddio S6X, great combo.

Thanks for feedback

I'll trade ya straight up for the Crazy MBs you just got from Spoon...
