4 Driver Heads - 4 Crazy Boron Stiff Shafts all at 45”. When assembled all shafts are within 3 cpm’s of each other. The normal 254-257 stiff flex range.

Maxima

388

XV

GS 455

GS 460

So a few things we noticed: In the 388 and XV the C.Boron plays the same while in the George Spirits heads and the Ryoma Maxima it loosens up in the tip a bit. I took one of the C.Boron shafts and tipped it a quarter of an inch and re installed into the maxima and it played closer to how it did in the SYDs, not sure if that made it better or worse..

The GS heads really woke up with C.Boron, Especially the 460. The 455 mono and the Maxima are noticeably similar in face shape & and the triangular shape from above is similar.

The Crazy Boron is incredibly consistent. We have had a couple of top club builder clients tell us it’s the roundest and most consistent shaft they have seen.

If the hosel depth is equal in 2 drivers the distance the hosel is from the head can still make the same shaft play very different. Check out the diagram below that Tario made I think it explains it pretty well.

Experienced that with a QFE Proto. Also, it causes shafts not to be able to move from head to head with same length spec. Moved the QFE from the Crazy 435 to my S-Yard 388 and it played .5" shorter.

I guess I'm not running into that because these were new shafts.

My point about the length is that, even though the playing length is the same on all of them, if you pulled the shafts and measured raw length they would all be different based on the hosel to ground and insertion depth measurements...

I'm not surprised C. The different hosel depths and height and head weights (not sure if I am using the right terms here but I'm sure you get what I mean) will make the same shaft play and install differently. I just put in a LY02 into my Maxima. Where it came from it played to 45.5. In the maxima, it plays to 45.
