Ordered them a couple of months ago. MP-64 5-PW and MP-69 9 and PW. Double nickel satin (looks better in person than I thought it would), less offset, squared toe, slightly rounder sole, initials in cavity, yadda, yadda. KBS Tour shafts, std L/L/L. They were done perfectly, lofts and lies are spot on. Haven't checked SW yet, supposed to be D-2 ish. Can't wait to get 'em out and give 'em a workout.

Very nice - congrats. Would be interested to hear how they feel.

To be brutally honest, they feel like crap so far. And they don't look that good in the sun. Kind of give off a brownish appearance. I don't know if it's the double nickel finish that I was talked into or what, but after about a dozen PW shots, something didn't feel right. I looked at it and realized I was hitting them about 3/4" towards the toe, haven't hit KBS Tour shafts in a while and guess they were a bit different than the Modus I'd been playing. Started hitting them out of the middle and couldn't really feel a difference at impact. Just kinda dead feeling. Went through the 9,8,6, and 5-iron and they all felt the same. Couldn't really tell if I was nutting them or not. And one thing about me, my clubface may not always be directly at my target, but I almost always hit the center of the face. Gonna give 'em another go tomorrow and see if it's better. I rode my bike about 60 miles this morning in heat and high humidity so maybe I was tired. But so far, not so good.

Very nice.. I'm about to put in an order for a set of 69s in double satin nickle.

I would make sure that you KNOW that you like double nickel satin before you order them. I was kinda talked into them and wish I'd gotten just satin chrome. Not wild about the look OR feel of them.

That is being brutally honest and I thank you for that. It's refreshing to hear every once in awhile.

Have you tried them in actual play? Practice round? Sometimes a club / clubs don't work on the range but they work quite well come game time. Weird but It's happened to me before, just a thought.

Badd,

Interesting comment. I was actually going to start a thread asking if others experienced this -- especially with blades or player's CB's. I've found this to be true as well, particularly if it's a range with matts, not grass. Seems like clubs that I love most on grass sometimes feel the worst on matts, which would make sense since I like to hit down and through the ball...

I just sent you a pm, It sucks to hear that..

I've hit this finish 2-3 times over the last 5 or so years and don't believe thats whats making them feel dead, it's gotta be something else. grind, loft, spec's. It's double nickel satin a finish that I've only known everyone to love.
