gocchin
Yururi has released a new Muscle back iron called the PDG or Pocket Dancing Grinding as you saw from the video Chris posted. Kyoei forged and with a very thin top line and sole, it's aimed at the better player. To clarify what Pocket Dancing Grinding is: The pocket of an iron is an essential part of every iron's design. This pocket determines how the neck of the iron flows into the face and head. Because the area is curved, it is the most difficult part of an iron to grind beautifully. When grinding the pocket, the craftsman's hand moves up and down and left and right like little dance. Only the most experienced craftsmen can grind the pocket to perfection using these find movements. All Yururi PDG irons have the pocket grinded by a single top craftsman in Himeji. The Pocket Dance is the key to the beauty of this head!
EdGolf
Is that a new finish as it don't look raw.... love Yururi irons, especially their current flatback. What's the difference (apart from finish)
+TourSpecGolfer
I haven't seen these in person but based on these pictures the Yururi looks like it has a very thin top line. This finish has been used on past wedges its an interesting look, more hand done feel I would say. These are based on a completely different heads than the Raw's so I'm sure the characteristics are different as well.
mauvanilla
Was Yururi sold to a Korean company?
gocchin
Was Yururi sold to a Korean company? No but they have a very strong presence in Korea... its one of their biggest markets.
jimmieboi
that finish is similar to the Tour Wedge...if so, then it should have a very soft feel and durable too.
RIduffer
Anymore info on these? Lofts, and other specs, prices etc…?
gocchin
We should have them in the shop soon once they begin shipping. I think specs are similar to the raw flat backs and price is the same.
RIduffer
What about shaft options? Any chance at the Roddio iron shaft?
+TourSpecGolfer
What about shaft options? Any chance at the Roddio iron shaft? We always send Yururi out for aftermarket installs so pretty much any shaft. Most people buy Yururi as heads only and have their club maker build it. JayDM
Just looking at these pictures again and man are the toplines and soles of these thing's THIN, I've always felt that the Flatbacks were razors, but from above and below they look massive compared to these, might just be the pictures, but I can't think of an iron that has a topline that looks as thin as these. kaaayelll
I think it's got to be the pictures; I can't imagine thinner than the Flat Backs. BTW, I just did my first black oxide refresh of the Flat Backs - unbelievably good results.
chiromikey
these look very good...but i think i still prefer the utterly raw look of the flatbacks.

gocchin
I didn't have the flat backs here when I shot those pics but my first impression was in fact that these are thinner than the flat backs... these are VERY thin. RIduffer
Any chance at some comparative shots vs. the TS 909 or RomaRo Pro?
+TourSpecGolfer
I've got the 909 in hand but not these PDG's.

ant
so anyone here who can share some hands on impressions ? cant find any specs on them (like head weights and dimensions, there is only basic loft/lie spec sheet from some shop selling them on ebay). my main questions would be offset ? head size (say compared to Miura small blade or tour blade or MG 5003) ? head weight ? same off the charts spin as their wedges ? can they be ordered blank (meaning no stamping back of the head or at least no paint fill there) ? ant
i see they finally hit proshop but i gotta say the pictures posted here on the forum are way better than that nature morte probably done by the same person who designs their stampings. these should be great with modus 3 130 i think. common hoes, somebody get a set and tell us all about it! ;)
JayDM
When I ordered the Buchi blades I was in between the Buchi's and the Yururi's for a new blade setup, I figure ill still wind up trying the PDG sometime down the road, I love the Flatback's, there probably my favorite blades so if these are anything like them they'll be fantastic, NS shafts did seem to work better with the Flatback's than any others, DP proto or Modus 120 are my two favorites(DP is the proto of the 120 so they have a bit in common). RIduffer
So I finally shafted a few of these up with the Tour Attas 120X and have a solitary 7 iron with a Roddio i10X. Considering I was playing in mid 30s temps with frozen range rocks and concrete under turf I must say they are soft. Also, the grooves will take some fur off the ball. Seemed to launch with an arching trajectory, at least the short irons. It is unfair to comment on the long irons as I think the shafts are a touch too stiff for me in them.
