EBAL
Hi, how do the size of these heads compare to the TS-202 which is regarded as midsize? And does the X-5000 PW also have offset like the TS-202 or no offset like a more traditional PW? Thanks.
+TourSpecGolfer
wow blast from the past. Both these irons have more offset in the short irons than they do in the long. I actually have a set of TS-202's here. I remember the X-5000 though.
EBAL
Hi, thanks for your reply. Yes, blast from the past. I am still playing the TS-202 and Z-101 from that "golden" era. I came across the X5000 in the auction site. Looks to me like a nicely designed head but didn't realize the offset in the shorter irons are more than the longer irons - sort of like the TS-202. The PW of the TS-202 is the one that gives me the fits sometimes, so I was kinda the hoping the X5000 would be different in this regard. Cheers! robbie
ive played both those sets and prefer the x5000, however the TS-201s were really special ! The offset was definitely very acceptable for both and i see no playability issues with the offset at all....Other nice irons of that vintage include the original x-blade, the nb32, of course the original mr23s, HM-55. Tourstages ruled during that era...i have to guess but i would say circa 1996-97 ???
