supo
had a litte bit time with a set of these shafted them with NS proto wedge 2 f15 x shafts , that seems to give them a very nice feel to the heads. they are pretty soft heads really but with a solid kinda ooomph behind them very nice impact. the sole is MICRO thin............. seriously ive never seen aything like them they are MAGIC................ MAGIC from a tight fairway. zero bounce. the leading edge just slices under the ball and lifts it straigt up its quite disconcerting to have to go harder at the ball by not hitting down into it with these. to get it to the pin u go full tilt adn have no isses bec the ball will zing back! spin is awsome!! these things back up like no bodies business. as good as ANY other wedge for back-up-a-bility.........! i had an hour at the range with them in all sorts of grass from thick thinfairway . bunker fluffy and rock hard get this... they werre terrible for rock hard sand , kept just thinning the blazes out of them straight thru thegreen about 20 in a row. the bolds blew these away on tight lie sand. got hem to sit still with ease. for deeper tho they were wands DONT ASK ME HOW THIS WAS but i assure you the differnce was humongous. the bolds with big bounce easiy satyed where they were sposed to, the prgr didnt. from the thick grass , tho, they were good from a short distance, like a few feet to 20 feet but longer shots they kida got caught up and popped up high and short a lot. once again the bolds killed them for longer punchy shots but these killed the bolds for deft touch. ina nd aroundthe pin , think a 15 foot shot over a bunker to a tight pin ... these were fantasitic esp if it was form lower grass , u can open these up to ludicrous angles nad flop away. the 57* is like a 59* IMO they go WAY higher than ud expcet. im getting a 57* bent to 60 for prepsoterous shots i think that micklelson flop is possible with these. id think these make a good "otherset" of wedges if u play on no water garss tracks alot say in summer in australia........ oh yes i do! guess where these are heading!!! RIduffer
I started reading this and thought it was a BST ad that mid writing you decided to keep them and bring the south... Always a good read from you Supoo, I have been curious about a few of the PRGR wedges but have never brought myself to pull the trigger... JayDM
Good thing you posted the pics mate, thought you were talking about the iD Nabla wedges which also have a thin sole.... Ya know what these put me in mind of? Thinner soled Shingo wedge.
supo
the shape is VERY similar at address. but not in hand.. bec of the variance in sole size. these have a tiny neck line , big flared face but its squared off. and a sole that is virtually not there. u can open these to any degree u like. similar to the shingo.. over all i hit them pretty well the day i had them and played the 57* that day which was a good test on a cpl of shots. im not sure the zero bounce thing is for me tho. i like to hit into the ball and thes got caught up i nthe ground a bit esp the 52* i muhc prefer a bolds style bounce. but iwil lsay for that they are , they are a really really good wedge. if no bounce is ur thing then these are the go
