Posted August 12, 201311 yr comment_212333 Have been following their facebook page for a while as some of the Japan Long Driver boys began using TRPX. One of our friends here just mentioned it, so I am dropping the question. Any info on these? Are these high quality as Crazy or just a Crazy copy? (their logo and ads remind a bit of Crazy strategy). www.trpx.jp
August 12, 201311 yr comment_212339 It was kind of a secret but now that its out in the open I can mention that TRPX is a brand that we are currently working with. <!-- This version of the embed code is no longer supported. It has always been Abe-san's dream to form his own shaft company so he began Triple X which goes by TRPX a high performance shaft company that uses only high modulus carbon. I dropped by their head office in Shinjuku on Tuesday to find out the scoop behind the company and it's products. Abe-san was originally the one who Chris dealt with when we started dealing with Crazy a few years ago, so he was more than happy to talk about the possibility of working with TSG again. I snapped a few photos below of ABEX and superimposed them on some graphics from TRPX. The key behind TRPX is quality and design. Every shaft is of course designed by ABEX and made of high modulus carbon using a new design ABEX dubs HPI or high power impact (more on this later). TRPX is small so the focus is on lesser quantities with higher quality. The Factory consists of 4 craftsmen... thats right 4 people. One person doing each job in the creation of a shaft. One managing carbon prepreg, one doing hand rolling of the shafts, one doing a thorough quality control and spec check and one doing painting of the shaft. They released their first shaft models back in June the 50t Messenger, the 40t/46t combo Ravie and the 46t Touale. I will go into more detail on these once i get our test shafts but as the table notes, the Ravie is an ultra light 50g distance shaft for slower swingers. The Touale is a lighter weight mid 50g shaft for slighty faster swingers. The Messenger is a 60+ gram all around shaft. These first 3 shafts are not ultra stout, they play on the softer side (if you compare to Crazy) and are made to provide max feel and max distance. They are about to release a new 70g model targeting stronger players and harder and faster swingers called the X-Line Series which we think a lot of TSG customers will like. Another exciting aspect of TRPX is their connection to J-Beam. J-Beam's founder and ABEX go way back and are close friends so when JBeam found out ABEX was doing his own brand they immediately collaborated in creating an ORIGINAL driver for TRPX. The TRPX driver is available in two flavors as I note below and looks hot. (by the way I should note ABEX was pretty happy with the photos I took of him (^_^)) S-013 Shallow version below (which actually looks pretty deep!) Needless to say we are very excited about this and we expect ABEX and TRPX to come up with some awesome stuff including the new hard hitter/athlete golfer model 50t X-Line next month. Please note as ABEX pointed out to me, while the shafts are not limited editions, we should treat them that way due to the limited quantity they can produce. ABEX has hand picked a very small number of enthusiast and hardcore craftsman type golf shops in Japan to carry TRPX. He only wants to deal with the hardcore.. no chain stores or big shops. The company will remain small with a focus on quality and performance. Limited supply due to a focus on manufacturing detail. I already did a tour of their factory and met all their staff, who are top notch shaft specialists and craftsmen. Everything is done by hand and meticulously produced to ensure perfectly round and consistent shafts. We are just ironing out a few finer details before we officially announce their availability here. We've even begun testing the new athlete X-Line and feedback from other craftsmen and enthusiast stores are very positive as is with all TRPX shafts, especially on quality and performance consistency. So stay tuned!
August 12, 201311 yr comment_212357 I have more photos from the factory and a test session we did did together at the range but will share those later!
August 12, 201311 yr comment_212358 Made by Jbeam exclusively for TRPX, not even Jbeam will offer it. Shafts made by TRPX hand rolled in their own factory.
August 12, 201311 yr comment_212373 Really like the look of the driver, and I honestly cant see how the shafts would be anything but fantastic..... When will they be available?
August 13, 201311 yr Author comment_212385 Great news and thank you T. from sharing all the details. Cant wait to hear some of the reviews. For my very limited Japanese, what I saw on facebook is that some of the Longest Driver guys "testing/or/using" it, they say it is really fantastic!!! Looking forward to see TSG review and the line available in the shop!
August 13, 201311 yr comment_212407 I've already hit the driver... performance like the Jbeam 435, ie powerful launch and lots of run but better feel and pop off the face. I used the Touale and it actually helped lower my ball flight and straighten it out. The Ravie was more like the RoyDeco and really for the smoother slower swinger. Messanger fantastic all around.

August 13, 201311 yr comment_212438 This pic is actually the shallow version S-013, the deep is D-013
August 14, 201311 yr comment_212472 The sole designs of the drivers look interesting. Very much in line with Crazy and DWDs. Looking forward to the reviews. I presume the shallower is slightly lower CG with a highER launch and spin and the deeper face more for the player with a more penetrating trajectory and lower spin? T, when you run your reviews, appreciate comparison against the 435, 460HX, original D1 and Maxima if possible. Edited August 14, 201311 yr by wmclarenf1
August 14, 201311 yr Author comment_212478 Looks nice; good to have an alternative in the same league of Crazy!
August 19, 201311 yr comment_212774 This driver is legit! It's up against my Crazy 435 w/Boron and has more carry and roll it's extremely stable flies penetrating and straight, the X-line shaft we have so far has been a gem It's nothing like the boron and It reminds me of a better feeling, stronger kick, straighter flighter CB50.. maybe not really but I can't put my finger on it, it's unique and at 255cpm it feels softer and plays tighter.
August 20, 201311 yr comment_212797 Don't know about performance yet but the look is quite nice for both shaft and driver.
August 24, 201311 yr comment_212982 when will the x-line of shafts be available? especially for those of us whom prefer heavier shafts.
August 24, 201311 yr comment_212984 when will the x-line of shafts be available? especially for those of us whom prefer heavier shafts. looking at early august on the X-Line.
August 25, 201311 yr comment_213004 Interested in the Touale shaft , could be similar to a Crazy LY Noir??
August 25, 201311 yr comment_213007 Chris, do you have any additional info on the x-line, in terms of weighting and torque numbers? I would image there will be a mid 60's gram a mid 70's gram and possibly a mid 80's as well? preferably 3.0 or less on the torque?
August 25, 201311 yr comment_213027 It's still proto not in it's final specs, not sure what will make it to market.
August 26, 201311 yr comment_213052 x-Line is scheduled for September (I will say mid to late to be safe). It will be low torque and low to mid 70g range.
August 27, 201311 yr comment_213153 T, any idea what my proto is? My brain was thinking 60-65g is it actually 70-75? If so results are beautiful, small issue leaking it right but other players who hit it are sending it dead straight.
