Baddmnkey
Anyone try these yet? Just looking for some feedback. It's a smaller version of the 2012 forged vokeys but not forged at Endo so most likely S25C but definitely forged in Japan is what I've been told. I'm sure Supo's tried these already.... Baddmnkey
Ok, I had a couple range sessions with the CF vokeys w/ MCI 120s... Different feel compared to the 2012 Forged vokeys. Not better or worse just different. The CF (s25c) felt more dense soft compared to a lighter soft feel with the endo (s20c) forged 2012's. Could be the shafts? Aerotech i125 in the forged vokey vs MCI in the CF vokeys... Slightly lower flight with the CF / mci which was a nice surprise.
Mjr. D
Why did they opt to switch from s20c to s25c?
+TourSpecGolfer
Endo uses S20C most other factories use S25C.
Mjr. D
So the 2012 version was made by Endo?
+TourSpecGolfer
So the 2012 version was made by Endo? Yessir
Mjr. D
Hmmm. Any of those still available? I like the s20c feel
+TourSpecGolfer
Yes they are still available. I do prefer the new ones though as they are more compact. The 2013 which some people call the 2012's were fantastic and pure just a little on the medium size.
gocchin
Last I checked Titleist Japan has barely any stock left of the 2012 Vokey Forged, maybe 48* and 54* is all they have left. I gamed the 2012 for a whole summer but prefer the new model as its not quite as thick looking and the variety of grinds makes more sense. Vokeys are always quite soft and I honestly cannot feel much difference if any between the S20C and cold forged. My explanations for the material change and grinds are here for those who missed it.
