Chris--still on the lookout for a set of MOZ 2030s...the MBs are very playable but need a little more help on the not so great days

Ah yes the 2030 are beautiful sticks, It's really just going for nostalgia of the name which is still very cool, If I were you I would keep these.

The Moz 2030, i had a set of those and loved them.....they were one of the softest irons i have ever owned and forgiveness and playability were top notch. Expensive puppies though !!

No where in Himeji uses or offers 1018. It's S15C or S25C. S20C was Endo only until about 5 years ago.

1018 would mean it's steel from China or the U.S and being that these are beautifully hand crafted Japanese heads I highly doubt that.

Japanese steel is always S##C, if there is a 10 in front of the number it's not Japanese.

Someone needs to pick these up, this is seriously an awesome price! I think they were like 2500 back in the day!

Chris--got the info on the 1018 and Himeji from the you(thread link above from 2004). Very possible I misinterpreted.

Clarify if you can. Thanks

That was my bad back in the day, I'm sorry about the misinformation. I've given up the hunt for 1018 in Japan. No one can find it and no one believes Japanese companies would import non Japanese steel. Your clubs are beautiful, I'm on the fence to pick these up. I've sent out an inquiry to friends to see if I can source me used 2030's in any condition, if the answer comes back yes I will buy these if they are still around!

S 15/20/25 C most likely.

I'd be willing to bet S25C as it's tried and true. Really no major difference in feel between the three as much depends on design, loft, bounce, annealing etc..

Take endo for example, they make many types of clubs and no two feel alike yet they are all S20C.
