Posted January 21, 201411 yr Looking at some titleist Japan clothing, pullovers/shirts. I am between a large or extra large in the US. Would I be a LLL or LL in Japan sizing? I am not a giant nor a big chubby. 6ft about 195 any thoughts?
January 21, 201411 yr i bought some stuff from taylormade japan and found size 0 to be perfect……it was slightly larger than a US large…..In hong kong, however i would be a xxxl at least to be slightly larger than a large….im about 6'2 185 l for reference and wear a suit size of approx 42
January 21, 201411 yr I think you would be size Sasquatch in Japanese. lol Seriously, all the stuff I've gotten from Japan is about one size smaller than the US counterpart. I can do Medium in Japanese but sometimes Small in US swallows me.
January 21, 201411 yr Author I might have to move to Asia to feel like a Giant! Barley above average in the states! Thanks guys for the feedback!
January 22, 201411 yr Everything is at least a size up... AT LEAST. ie I am a Small in the West but a Medium in Japan. If you are an L, you are at least LL or XL.
January 23, 201411 yr Besides being smaller than western sizes, different brand would have different in sizing specs. I could be wear a LL on PRGR or Munsingwear yet might be wearing a L on some Mizuno (I am a M on 'normal' US size). If you really want to buy JDM golf clothing online, best to test out a brand and size first. Edited January 23, 201411 yr by Duffer19

I am not a giant nor a big chubby. 6ft about 195 any thoughts? I think you will be LLL.... For instance, I have usually wear Small or Medium size in the US, but in Japan I wear atleast an L. Keep in mind that Japan clothes tend to be more slim fit too.
January 23, 201411 yr I'm pretty much your size ,6ft and 195 lbs, and do like a bit of Muji... Thing is only their largest size they have fits me, even then some shirts are still too tight across the shoulders. Very hard to say from brand to brand on top of everything else, you'd be best to try before buying if at all possible... But minimum one step more...more like 2 minimum compared to US sizing, ie Medium US would be XL for a lot of Muji clothing. I'm assuming Uniqlo will be changing their labelling when they go in the US market... And buying more yards of cloth.
January 23, 201411 yr I have a really hard time finding JDM apparel, even within the same brand I.e taylormade one Series LL is not the same as another series LL. Uniqlo omg! It's been a decade since I could fit their largest size.
January 23, 201411 yr Author Thanks for the input guys! Usually the shoulder size is where the pinch point is. I think I will try LLL to start....
