Hello. Looking to purchase a Romaro Ray non conforming and was wondering on the spin and ball flight of the 9.5 and 10.5? Thinking of installing a White Tie. Thank you

Hi Landy, long time pal. I've got demo's of both the 460 & 435 drivers and have spent a good amount of time with both. Overall solid, nice softer hollow impact, spin rates I would say medium, launch for the 460 is mid high and the 435 more mid. It's a good club when paired with the right shaft it's outstanding and underrated.

Romaro drivers are very solid. I tried them with Tour AD DI shafts and was a good combo for me. Nice soft feel and good jump right off the face without the spin rate going up too much. I personally liked the 435 size, but the 460 doesn't look too big either.

I think the other "R" company.. Ryoma has been stealing the spotlight a bit, but once you find the right shaft, it would be a great head to head match!

Thank you - was there a difference in distance and ball flight between the 435 & 460? Or just forgiveness? Thanks again

The 460 launches higher, Tatsuro would of course like the 435 he's a scratch player, teaching pro and hits everything insanely consistent, He can turn the ball left or right at will and that's why he's great for testing clubs... Knowing your looking for a distance gain and forgiveness Id suggest the 460.

Has anyone compared the Ray non conforming 460 to the Ryoma ST model. I had the ST Ryoma with Crazy Dec and was banging it. Until I cracked the head. Because they don't make the ST anymore, it was replaced with a conforming model. I now have the funds to find another non conforming model and am looking for the right combo.

Thank you for input. I guess it would be a 460.

Good choice. The 460 much easier to launch than 435 and much more forgiving. I know alot of low cappers like the compact head and slightly lower flight, but... with that said, there are plenty of pros that will go for forgiveness these days. (It help them go after it much more and get away with some slightly off center hits) :)
