I'm all for new gear but this is the 3rd version of the same visual design leaving me confused. We knew a new Kamui Pro driver is coming for over a month now, I was expecting something new & different, KP claims this one is hotter with a thinner face.

Ideally I would have liked to see them take this opportunity differentiate or at least change the looks between models like from KP-X to Nitro. Perhaps remove a lot of the text, use matte black, or remove that channel on the sole, how about just a brushed chrome or black sole with no fill.

Does the thinner sole translate into more distance? It should so in essence this one is longer than the previous.

Does anyone know how to distinguish V1 from V2? VIII has the III on the toe of the face, doesn't V1/V2 have the logo on the toe? Is the V1 black accent and V2 white accent?

i thought the release was Tp07 / Tp07-s / Tp-07 Nitro....Is there even a Tp07-Nitro II ???? Im hitting the V1 Nitro and didn't even realize that we are almost to V-IV !!!!

*Please keep us updated on that beast

It's confusing isn't it, especially for me as my brain is swimming in golf club models & specs right now before the show.

TP-07s Aero (older model) - TP-07s Nitro (latest model) then foam spec and now Nitro VIII currently there is no mention of a VII or VIII on Kamui's home page.

The Aero came before the TP-07 Nitro which gained a DAT face and 6-4ti body but looks quite similar to this one.

Does Kamui Pro consider the Aero V1, the Nitro V2, and this _______ as V3?

Whatever the case they all have the same name, very similar look, it's confusing. In the image below it shows an Aero paint theme but word is it's VIII Nitro.

well the good news is that if you like the original head shape then you do not have to get used to a different look at address ! :tsg_smiley_sun:

From what little information i could gather.......i think there is the original Kamui Pro TP-07 and that has no stamp on the face and then there is the Kamui Pro TP-07S VII which is designated by a red "arrow" on the face and then there is the Kamui Pro TP-07S which is designated as VIII on the face...and then there is the Kamui Pro TP-07 V-IV or Version 4 which is the Nitro and has no markings on the face.

I don't think the III marked face in the pics has even been released it's supposedly a new version. So I don't understand how there can be a version 4.

TP07s Aero has Kamui Logo in Red on face

Tp07s Nitro with no Foam has Kamui Logo no color on face

TP07s Nitro w/ Foam has Kamui Logo no color on face

I have seen that "III" stamp on Kamui TP-07S golf clubs in yahoo.japan golf clubs auctions for quite awhile

Perhaps face identification is not as useful as sole ID ???

Gotta love how it takes a detective to figure out.

I had a Nitro Foam & Nitro non Foam, I'm pretty sure one of them had a red logo which throws me off again.

They need a website that explains things better, it's so dated they don't even have the KP101 listed and even that's been replaced.

kamui TPO7s had 2 variants a normal one and a HI-COR one.

The hi-cor had HR on the face. it also had an all black sole no white accents

IMG_1056.jpg

the TPO7S on the other hand had that Red arrow on the face and the sole has a accents

IMG_1057.jpg

heres both of the soles and face side by side

IMG_1058.jpg

the nitrogen TPO7S on the other hand has an all black sole with only "white" accent in the center chanel. also the arrow on face has no paint fill and is plain

there are some with gold paint fill on loft and some in red. these were done per batch to the best of my knowledge

i have never seen one in the flesh with the III.

if you ask me there is the TPO7 V1, TPO7-S both normal and hi cor being V2 and V3 being the nitrogen. the ones with NITROGEN labelled

in sole could be one off models released with different stampings these are the ones with III on the face. just my thoughts from handling multiple

heads. i could be mistaken though and please correct me if so.

- They shaved the face a bit more putting it on the edge of conformity.

- They made the crown 5 grams lighter to lower the CG

- subtle visual changes

I don't see much change in the newer one. The older Kamui drivers are great and no I have no issues, but too bad they didn't put much into making a "newer" design on the head. Hope they'll make bigger changes on future models.

- side comment -

Spoon, nice Panerai!!!
