May 6, 201411 yr Hi, have anybody plays with these 2 drivers? How do these two compare for forgiveness, feel, distance. Which do you guys like better? Many thanks in advance
May 6, 201411 yr Well I've try HX gold before and just got a Maxima ST from TSG but it's still in the box and I'm going off to Japan tonight so I'll be able to give you a full compare when I come back. But for now at the address I like the look of Maxima more than HX and with the combination of hi-cor and DSI I think it should be a little better than HX.
May 6, 201411 yr They are both excellent heads. The Maxima ST should be the longest, Ryoma didn't just make a hotter driver by thinning the face they upgraded the face material and put extra effort in getting it to feel soft and forged. They also worked on reducing spin by 300 rpm vs the conforming version. That said the Maxima has it's control issues for some and even me, swinging hard gets me in trouble with this club more than others. I've had some of my longest drives swinging smooth with a maxima. The special tune could be completely banana's.
