So,

the line of quadra fire shafts has always been at the top of my list of wanting to try, except I am cluess as to all the variants they offer;

anyone care to elaborate on the differences between; Fire Express RB; Fire Express TP-V; Fire Express MAX WBQ; Fire Express; Fire Express LD60; Fire Express Light 45, I assume the LD60 and Light 45 are lighter weight versions,

but I would be curious to see those that have hit the RB, TP-V and MAX WBQ their thoughts, as well as the regular Fire Express

however they have a new prototype shaft on the way, the black fire;

I think it's time you try a Quadra skyline.

Most likely the TP-V would fit you best, it's got a stiffer mid and tip while the butt is a touch soft to promote better feel. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but hasn't the original FEX been discontinued for the TP-V?

I will get more info on this Black proto as soon as Quadra re opens on the 18th after holiday.

I've had a couple Quadra shafts and both of them are among the straightest shafts I've hit. Can't say a bad word about them. SUPREMELY underrated IMO.

I have a FEX and FEX WBQ and both are great. The WBQ is meant to be played a bit longer in length and it seems the harder I go after it the better it performs! It's my gamer over several Crazy shafts right now.

I agree! I have the WBQ as well and it seems to be super anti-left, which means I can really step on it and not worry too much about hooks or the dreaded double cross. It's almost always straight to a baby fade. 65x is light and very tight, so can handle almost anything thrown at it.

I've tried three different version and none worked for me.

I would agree with what is said here. The TP-V has some kick in the bottom. Lots of feel, probably due to the softness in the butt. Not a tough shaft to load at the top of the swing. I thought the old FEX Proto was great. Played stiffer than the TP-V.

i have the FEX Max WBQ and like it so far. I haven't been playing it for very long, but so far, so good. I am curious to know what these all black writing versions are like.

TP-V SR 65 in a TRPX D-103 here. Straightest combo I've ever hit. Can't be sure if all the shaft or head or the match between the two.

The shaft does feel very stable for my aggressive transition.
