I ve played the Crazy LY01 La BOmba and the shaft was a 6.9 and it played very whippy with a pronounced kick and tons of carry. Ive also played the LY01 Noir in 6.9 which i found to be much tighter and less whippy.

My question is : There is a Crazy LY01 pull that i am eyeing but all it says is stiff and it does not have the flex breakdown in numbers like 7.2 or 8.0 or 6.9 ...etc It also doesn't indicate whether it is like a noir or black or la Bomba....any idea what this plain jane LY01 might play like ??? Is it even legit ?

I was under the impression that LaBomba was simply the white paint scheme and had nothing to do with the shafts characteristics. And iirc, stiff equated approximately to 7.2.

The La Bomba might be just a white paint job but the stock non-noir LY01 is pretty whippy then. My next question is did Crazy do away with the number flex and simply go to Stiff / SX / and X

I think it's the other way around. The LY, CB lines are all using numbering system now while the royal decor line uses the alpha flex. The problem with Crazy is the fitting process. Took me about 2 shafts to fit a flex or range of flex that work for me. La Bamba should just be a color scheme.

My 2 bobs worth is the LY labomba plays softer than the noir

Yes flex for flex, the Noir plays stiffer than the La Bomba.

Is the Crazy LY series that only uses alpha designations a fake ???

It's just the earlier generations that use the alpha designation. I've had two LY-01's. The first was stiff, the newer one was 7.2.
