mpuk
Hi all, Anyone know if the Quadra Fire Express TP-V is 80t like its predecessor ? Also, can anyone shed any light on the differences between the two ? Thanks in advance Matthew
+TourSpecGolfer
I don't think it's 80T, it doesn't feel like 80T to me, It would feel different if it was.
Chanaa
I don't think it's 80T, it doesn't feel like 80T to me, It would feel different if it was. How does an 80T feel ? More stiff, boardy, heavy perhaps ? Am using usual crazy 46 / ly01/ diamana x 60s. Thinking of tightening up my dispersion & going heavier. +TourSpecGolfer
A full length 80T shaft is very difficult to make feel good, yes boardy is a good word for it. Also keep in mind that not all carbon is the same, I can find 40T that is quadruple the price of 80T now days from China.
mpuk
Purely from a quality perspective, would you go original Quadra FEX or the TP-V ?
+TourSpecGolfer
The one that fits you best. They are both cool, they are both made well. I can see how both can fit you. No complaints from the TP-V yet, naturally the FEX out longer we hear many reviews. If your concern is the FEX is made of better materials but the TPV is newer or maybe a better design I understand that, my first thoughts as well and my best guess is the fex has a bit better materials while the TPV relies more on design.. but then again all that matters is how it melds with your swing. After your shaft arrives keep it sorta long, if needed tip & shorten, experiment and learn it really well, adjust your tempo and strength etc. to see what works best.
