+TourSpecGolfer
Been blown away by the performance of just about every RomaRo product recently released from the 455LX, Ray H Forged, All three of the new wedges do a killer job for the player they are intended for. Last week I posted the SX-R, ultra forgiving players wedge. The Alcobaca series last year was just a very easy to use wedge and this year they released two versions the scoop and stream models. Today we are talking scoop. As you can see from the images these have been put through their paces, mostly sand and practice over the last 3-4 months and the conculusion of everyone who hit it was that they are super easy breezy Japanesey. They make incredible contact with the ground, the leading edge sits very flat which I've noticed of all three of their new models, feels good, but this wide sole just does well from everywhere especially nice turf, rough, and bunkers, some of the best this year no doubt. Some of it's flaws are when played from tight lies or near empty bunkers or hard packed dirt areas but other than that and it's offset they do the job. Sorry about the scratchy pics of the demo. I took pics while new and must have erased the SD card so I had to re shoot these recently. Made me realize when I drop the gear ego there are options out there that really help the game and in this case short game consistency on decent to better quality courses excelled. This is RomaRo's latest and most forgiving wedge, compared to the SX-R it just sit's better on the ground, doesn't rock back as much, is less workable, equal softness, more forgiving and wide. +TourSpecGolfer
how would you compare to the tataki's? For sure easier to hit than the Tataki's but not as all around gorgeous or as player. this is for a different type of player, consider this automatic while the Tataki is more precision. nice...any comparison of different models? which one do you recommend? I may be looking to add a 58* or 60*, thanks. Will do shortly, these were in all such bad shape after passing them around I sent them to TSG Club Works for a revamp.
