+TourSpecGolfer
Been pushing hard for over 6 months, hurry Suda-san make them blades! I appreciate and respect how conservative they are about performance, do expect the MB's to have the same quality, grind skill, fit and finish as the Suda Wedges which are absolutely outstanding imo. Sample irons are being produced now and are 4-6 weeks out. There will be a first edition 5 set run because that's what TSG has committed to in the first month. email [email protected] to reserve a set. RIduffer
Any more detail or early pic of prototype? Am assuming these are CNC'd SUS like the CBs? What kind of options if any on customization?
+TourSpecGolfer
Any more detail or early pic of prototype? Am assuming these are CNC'd SUS like the CBs? What kind of options if any on customization? None of Modarts irons or wedges are made of SUS, the ones you are talking about are CNC'd S25C. But the Suda Grind Wedges are not CNC"d they are like most other wedges, forged/hand grind These MB's will be the same, each one done by Suda-san himself. We are still negotiating FP #'s based on the raw head and also stamping config, I personally would like to see just the SD logo on toe and the By Modart only on the neck. RIduffer
My mistake on the SUS vs S25 but the CNC vs "forged" is from Tario's intro to the brand... http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/topic/36253-model-art-introducing-modart/?hl=modart#entry221131 Each head is CNC'd from a block vs forged, or something to that end... Yes they are not "forged" they are from the block, it's a very interesting feel.
mpbachman
Thanks Chris! Are the Suda-san custom wedges also CNC'd milled from the block? By the looks, they seem forged (they don't have the machined lines similar to the CBCs or A60s but that could be due to the grinding after)? +TourSpecGolfer
There is no CNC on the Suda Grinds, it's straight up hand made old school by hand by the man. The CBC, A60G, A55G irons all are CNC'd from a block of S25C.
