Hi guys,

My uncle is nearly 66 physically well & active hcp high 20s SS driver 80s. Bit of a picker/ scooper. Being 5'5 will need flatter/ bendable set especially in the shorter clubs.

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

Eric

Tons of jdm irons for you to choose from. Mizuno JPX, XXIO, Gloire Forged, even VG3 type E or go higher market with Epon 703. I would of course stay with JDM R flex and no need to change any lies.

No lies duffer, no lie angle change needed?

I am 5'6" and play vg3, 551 and 703 without any issue. Cannot tell you whether it's the rule since everyone is different.

Thanks Duffer. Which of the gloire or vg3 type E is more wider sole / hybrid like?

If you really looking for hybrid like, you might have to look at new egg irons. While most of the one mentioned might be considered GI but not SGI.

PRGR Super EGG irons, M37 FLEX. The lofts are stronger and the club length is longer but the ball will go high. In reality the 8 iron is a 6. The PW loft is 40 degrees and the 8 is 30 degrees.

thanks Driverhead. Just read your mini review on it just now, even I feel like getting one for myself lol. From address it looks great!

If you are looking at wide sole, this is it.

Super GI is very different from GI.

Super GI = Super Egg, Yamaha UD+2,

But I also highly suggest the PRGR iD Nabla RS "Titan Face" Irons.

But I also highly suggest the PRGR iD Nabla RS "Titan Face" Irons.

They seem similar in design to the PING RAPTURE J irons.
