Posted November 23, 201410 yr Anybody had a chance to hit these? How do or would they compare to 701/702's? I've been playing 701's and love them but am wondering how these compare, all the love of the regular VG3's have gotten. Appreciate it! Chris
November 23, 201410 yr it's an excellent club but it does have a larger overall size than the AF7s. compared to the standard VG3 it doesn't feel as dense and soft has a much thicker top line, size and more offset. I highly suggest the PRGR ID Nabla RS Titan face if you want a major improvement over the 703, one of the best GI irons without getting too ugly.
November 23, 201410 yr Author Thanks, I'll take a look at the PRGR. I'd like to give the standard VG3's a run but don't think I have the game for them (hcp 16). Appreciate the info guys!
November 24, 201410 yr If you are a true 16, you can definitely handle the standard VG3. It is no more difficult or actually easier than OnOff Kuro. I am a weak 16 now due to age (spell senior) and even I can handle the standard VG3. This is from someone that have been playing the VG3 for almost 2 years and not someone who demo it for a bucket or so.
November 24, 201410 yr I got the VG3 Type E's and I think they are great. I'm a 7. The 7 iron is 29* and goes a mile. If you are a hybrid guy, just the 7-PW or AW is nice to get between the hybrids and the wedges. I'm pretty pleased with the distance, trajectory, and forgiveness of these irons. And I have had a ton of irons.
