Just purchased a shaft called Skitter . ( skitter-japan.main.jp/ )

I know they have been around for quite some time. but I actually got to test their drivers last year while I was in Japan. Interesting technology.

Basically an inner shaft technology using 50T High Mod Carbon that allows them to make the overall flex of the shaft much weaker but still able to provide stable impact. The 70g XX flex that I got is rated at around 239 cpm or some spaghetti like ridiculous low number.

Their claim is that you can make an easy but thorough swing and the ball will fly as far but much straighter than with your normal shafted driver. When I tried their club last year, I could not bend the ball at all and did get decent distance. So I think the technology works as claimed at least to some extent.

Still need to look for a head to pair it with but I was thinking about a JBeam/Crazy 435 or something.

We'll see how this experiment goes. Will update in the spring when I have some comparo with my normal shafted drivers.

Has anyone else tried these shafts?

I've seen this shaft in Japan too a couple of times. I thought is was some sort if swing/tempo training aid first. But the assembled clubs were standing among other "regular" clubs
