Shankopotamus
If all specs are the same, which launches higher and more forgiving? I gave up my TRPX S in 10* b/c it didn't launch high enough for me. Had the messenger 1st in there. Thinking about giving it another try in 11 or 11.5*. Or giving a different head, like 535 or Glorious, a try. Edited February 2, 2015 by Shankopotamus
+TourSpecGolfer
The S-03 is still a deep faced club and it's too close to call between the 535 vs TRPX drivers as they have many similarities and both share the same Jbeam DNA. Jbeam Glorious is what I would suggest, with a custom loft, still go high maybe 11 - 12*. This morning I played 9* with an 11.5* Ryoma Maxima with Regular Flex shaft on a no wind day hitting some of the most effortless and longest drives in a very long time. No shame in higher lofts. ooss
Haven't hit the Glorious yet, but 535 is much easier to launch compared to trpx heads. I played the D-013 last summer. It would roll infinitely on a true links course while the 535 which I play now carries 99% of the distance. I also feel that the 1st messenger is quite a low launch shaft too.
