NakedDave
I realize it's not a new driver, but I need some thoughts and/or reviews of the X-Drive 707 Thanks in advance.
nobmontana
I actually recommend the 705 series over the 707 or 709 series. until 705, I believe the heads were Endo made and had great feel and sound at impact whereas the adjustable models in subsequent years were not and felt much firmer off the face. I still have an X-Drive P02-6 limited head which was a 705 series head but a 365cc head and it has the best feel and sound out of all drivers I have ever tried. languidcrane
I was under the impression that the 909 was endo forged because of the materials/titanium used, but I could be wrong. Either way it is a great driver if you have the consistency and swing speed. I find it has a very muted thwock at impact, and is as long as any driver I've hit over the last few years. My swingspeed is around 117. I only note that b/c my friends that can move the ball all agree that it is a great feeling head, while those with swing speeds around 95-108 all find it firm. I don't know if this translates over to the 707 and 709 heads, but that would be interesting to see. It seems to me that many players who enjoy tourstage branded drivers have higher swing seeds. Again I could be wrong
