Chanaa
looking to get the shingo irons - i currently use c-taper & wondering how the modus 3 tour 120 shaft compares to the c-taper. thks Edited March 19, 2015 by Chanaa
EdGolf
C-taper will play slightly stiffer to modus 120...like half shaft stiffer. Also the ball flight for modus will be highler.
hardboiled
I've got a set of Nippon Prototype 358 shafts that came out a set of Katayama 358s if you are interested :)

EdGolf
Thanks. In terms of feel, spin, dispersion ? In terms of feel...Modus feels better but dispersion better with C-taper. Best of both world IMO aerotech... that's what my 358 is shaft in now....
Spoon
The modus are the superior shaft in terms of feel. I just pulled my c tapers. The c tapers had a more penetrating ball flight but not by a large margin. The feel though is on the harsh side
Ian-500
The C-Taper 120's are better feeling for me compared to Modus 120. Also they have a better ball-flight and tighter dispersion. I haven't tried many iron shafts but the only other shaft that gave me all the things I like about C-Tapers are the True Temper 'Black Gold' shafts. We are complete polar opposites:) that's why its best to try the shafts before deciding what to game

idrive
I also think the head makes a difference in the way a shaft feels, works. For me - The Modus are a much better fit than the C-tapers for the 358's.
chiromikey
I agree with Ian, C-Tapers felt better than Modus 120s to me as well. I believe that perception comes from the fact that I prefer a constant weight iron shaft over anything else.
Chanaa
couple of rounds with the shingo on modus3 120s, X stiffness. Its a match made in heaven. I've always been a c-taper fan since 2011, love the low penetrating flight + the 5% claims. The modus feel is awesome, feels super soft on the shingos. The ball flight is a bit high, but effortless. Will try a c-taper on a 6i shingo to compare. the shingos are special.
