Posted August 28, 20159 yr Hi TSGers, 1st time posting here and hope you guys nice to me!! Long story lead me to here, i'm fortune enough purchased a set of OnOff 2011 with Quadra 4X SPF 852i that believe originally built / sold from here. tbh, i love them to death but my ho'ing mind saying may have tighter disperision with either Steelfibre / Recoils? Do i need to soft-step on SF / Recoils to play similar flex as Quadra 852i? a bit of backgorund, high capper with girly swing speed about 82mph on iron and 92mph on driver. ball flights from Quadra with decent height. understand SF and Recoils having about 10g difference to Quadra which is not much problem as play KBS Tour on Adams A4 forged before the OnOff. note: anyone has an OnOff 2011 4i head collecting dust? Happy golfing from down under!! Edited August 28, 20159 yr by AusOdy
September 7, 20159 yr Hi. I have experience with all 3 (gamed 2 and tested 1), but in the heavier weight models. For me, the Quadra 100i had the highest ball-flight and Steelfiber i95/i110/i125 the lowest, with Recoil F4 110/F5 125 somewhere in between. I think you'll get a tighter dispersion with Steelfibers over Recoils. Even though I've had 2 sets of the Quadra, I can't remember what the dispersion was like, except that the second set I had I tipped and that gave me a fade more often. I can remember that the Quadra 'felt' the best, as in softest feel off the face. I know that some people say that 'this' shaft plays 1/2 a flex more or less than that 'shaft', but who's to say that soft stepping will work for you, so I think you should install any shaft as normal and try them.......or go and get fitted :) Ian.
