i have two sets of irons at the moment the mr 23 cbs with 6.5 rifle lites and the 201s with x100s. was comparing the two today and noticed a huge distance difference between them......the 201s were at least one full club outside the mr23s!!!!!! anyone else found this problem???

have to admit both feel so sweet, excellent forging!

What do you mean, "outside"? Do you mean longer? If so, have you checked the lofts? Maybe the lofts are different.

yeah outside means longer. just translating for the irish folk here ;-)

thanks patrick, yeah im sorry using irish slang......i did mean ''longer''

The lofts on the Mr23s are weaker than that of the 201's, so thats part of the issue. I have both the MR23s and the CB1005s but haven't hit them enough to know.

The MR23s are for the better player in my opinion. A lot less forgiving than the Miuras. The CB1005s lasted only a month in the bag. The MR23s worked kinda like a training aid for me, I had to really focus and strike the ball well with its small head. The CB1005s were great I just liked the look of the XCBs so modern so different.

to be honest i didnt find the mr23s hard to hit at all, i thought the feel was superb out of them just the lack of distance put me of. both clubs the miura 201s and the 23s felt like a dream and are easy to hit. the distance factor was the big determining factor fo me

well, yes, the same thing happened to me. 1 club loss in distance vs a set of mizunos I have.

You have to tweak the clubs to your specs...even check the club lenghts...

I will agree that the MR23's are shorter then many other irons - I am finding them to be between 1/2 and 1 club shorter.
