Aston55
Hey guys - was wondering if anyone ever dared to tip their 7D shaft? I recently picked one up and put it into a Jbeam blackout which has a deep insertion depth of 1.75 inches. So technically its playing like its tipped and btw the shaft was designed for this blackout head. However, I find the 2015 AAA shaft a bit more tip stiff (I prefer this) than the 7D setup and was thinking of cutting the tip a bit? Has anyone dared to tip a 7D? nobmontana
If you are trying to make the 7D ( 60g ) behave like a tip stiff 70g shaft by tipping it, you may end up with an unusable shaft. Before making any alterations to the shaft, could you try going lighter on the head? If that doesn't work, you should probably think about passing it along to a fellow member in BST and get a 7D designed for your swing.
