Henry
So when I purchase either JDM irons or woods, I tend to stick with the stock shafts typically based on my swing speed. For my next purchase, I would love to try and get some custom shaft offerings. How would one start the process to determine what is the best shaft for me or for that matter, anyone else looking into custom shafts? While I understand there may be some general guidelines the manufacturer can give on its website, is that a good starting place? Unfortunately, most of us cannot demo these custom shafts to get a true measure to determine if its the right shaft. Just looking to see if there are other means to determine best shaft for one's swing.
+TourSpecGolfer
Hi Henry, I think you mean aftermarket shafts right? The only custom shafts I know of are Seven Dreamers. Selecting an aftermarket aka upgrade shaft is very difficult, easiest way is just drop me an email [email protected] with the following information: - Age - Handicap - Driver Swing Speed - Current Club/Loft/Shaft/Flex - Bad Shot - Good Shot - Tempo/Transition Speed = Smooth or Aggressive - What problem is your current club having - What 2 performance characteristics do you want to achieve from this new shaft We can start there and I will help squeeze you into something that fits your budget. +TourSpecGolfer
Thanks!! yes, aftermarket shafts or the upgraded shafts that are offered by the manufacturer. Just keep in mind there is a difference in upgrade shafts by the OEM in U.S vs JPN. In Japan the OEMs use the actual upgrade shafts, the same ones TSG would sell shaft only. In the US they are watered down and made to look similar to the upgrade shaft, but sometimes say by ______
