Aussie
Hey guys , Wondering if I can get some feedback and hopefully someone who has both sets that provide some feedback and maybe some comparison photos . I've got a set of 302s and am now thinking of getting myself a set of P2s . Many thanks in advance .
Petethepilot
I am bias but I think 302's are for the better player who likes less offset. I would head towards the SUS 316's if you want to move away from the 302's! Beautiful finish but the offset did my head in on the P2's! Aussie
Thanks for the feedback Mate , I'm definitely not moving away from the 302s just thinking of adding something different to contrast what I've got . I also think the P2s look amazing !
Swizbeatz
I'll get some pics up when I can, P2's are being re-shafted.
Aussie
Thanks , will look forward to seeing them . Just curious but what shafts are you going to put in them ?
kaaayelll
P2 are somewhat polarizing regarding offset. As a rule, I dislike offset, but it doesn't bother me at all on the P2. I don't know if it's the mirror finish or what, but the offset, as I've said before, just melts away for me. Some have agreed and some have moved on from them. I don't see myself allowing them to leave my stable. Whether or not I keep both of my sets is another question.
Aussie
I haven't hit a P2 yet but I've got a Mate that has a set that's going to let me hit his . Going to be looking forward to seeing how the offset looks , how they feel , what the turf interaction's like and how the distance plays as well . The distance factor certainly won't be a deal breaker for me , provided they're not hideously shorter than my other sets . If I find they are shorter I can have the lofts adjusted 1* - 1.5* stronger .

Aussie
Sure have Eca , as Deano said , I have them as 1 of the sets I play . I've also got a set of Passing Point Straight Necks as well that I'm thinking of selling .
Swizbeatz
Thanks , will look forward to seeing them . Just curious but what shafts are you going to put in them ? 120x, play super peening oranges in the 302's but plan on switching those to 120 as well if I like them as much as the few times I've tried them. Using both sets to experiment with shafts but want them to have the same eventually so I can combo. Regarding distance I was surprised with how far they went, basically the same as my 302s which don't have super jacked lofts.
Aussie
That sounds sweet , I tend to keep the same shafts in most of my iron sets as well . I like the continuity it provides me with and as you mentioned it also makes it a lot easier to combo sets if needed . Great to hear the distances are roughly the same , I expected/suspected that the P2s might give some up to the 302s . How would you describe the difference in feel between the 302s and the P2s ? I'm going to try the P2s next week with some Shimada 115s . Can't wait !
Swizbeatz
Part of it is 302's don't have jacked lofts, 46* PW which is one weak from their newer sets and nowhere close to what many Oems in the US are doing. That would make the P2 1 weak from the 302 rather than 2+ from some other sets. I only got them out a small amount before winter hit and it's just now getting warm enough to break them out again. I'd say feel wise they feel good, not as soft as the 302 because of the change in mass/thickness of blade but the 302 is also the softest iron I've ever hit. P2 is a little clickier as expected on my toe miss, epon soft but not quite 302 on center strikes. I also think the 302 is the best iron ever made, crazy good feel coupled with good looks, forgiveness, and the highest consistent ball speeds. People talk about ball speed a lot with drivers but it was shocking how well these performed repeatedly on trackman for me. I really only bought the P2's because they are so good looking and will play them during non competitive rounds, the PW might get a shot at the tournament bag. Aussie
Yeah , I liked the lofts a lot when I purchased the 302s . Was thinking if I like the P2s once I hit them that I might strengthen the lofts by 1* but it may not be needed !
Hutch
Not many sets of P2s left I am told.

Aussie
Gave the P2s and the 302s a crack together and the 302s were a better fit for me . Don't get me wrong the P2s are a beautiful club but I preferred the feel of the 302 . It could've been the shafts I used as well . Thanks again for everyone's help and input . kaaayelll
Out of curiosity, did you hit off of a mat or grass? The P2 are entirely better off of grass than they are a mat in my experience.
Aussie
Tried them off grass with Pro Vs . With the sole design and leading edge I imagine they'd be very different off of turf as opposed to mats . I certainly enjoyed them but I need the extra help the 302s provide and am really enjoying the softness of feel that they possess !

yubin89
You should just buy both, all Epon gear is so cheap on the forums now.
