There is a very fine hairline crack to the paint that I can confirm.   It appeared soon after reshafting the head. 

What I don't know is whether the crack also exists underneath the paint.    I was hitting the driver after I noticed the paint surface crack but did not notice any performance degradation or change in sound.   Again can't guarantee if there is a structural issue underneath the paint or not. 

The hairline is right along where the carbon crown meets the Ti body close to the hosel. 

If you don't look close enough you probably won't notice anything.    Use at your own risk!

So they told me the crack is just at the surface.  paint is apparently thinner on this head compared to others for optimal sound feel and weight distribution. 

Sold.
