Posted March 23, 200420 yr We have all been hearing the rumor of Maru signing with a company called Zomo. Zomo is a company that has appeared from nowhere building a large factory in Japan and creating some high end putters that i cant find any pics of  . Maru is not dropping Tourstage he will just be playing Zomo putters from now on. He changes putters almost every week and I guess Zomo caught on to this and decided to make any design or specs he would like as well as pay him big $$$ to play it. Shingo Katayama has signed with Nike, he was with XXIO but has made the switch from them. He is currently playing the MacTec NV Air 3+ putter.
March 23, 200420 yr Those are neat looking putters....I was just wondering about N.A. distribution, and what kind of prices are expected. Waiting to get Zomo pics!!!!   Jer
March 23, 200420 yr How can he give up on the Red-X??? I haven't seen him putt like that in awhile. He was smokin.... Shingo is a big plus for Nike. Probably going to see alot of Cat Nike stuff now.
March 23, 200420 yr Author The Mac Tec putter is 200.00 shipped via EMS 2-4 day. Mac Tec is actually not that expensive at all, The entire MacTec line will probobly never make it to the U.S.
March 24, 200420 yr What happened to Shingo's association with Guage Design? Isn't he still on the GD website?
March 24, 200420 yr Is Zomo a complete golf equipment company (woods, irons, wedges, putters, bags, etc.) or just a putter company? I can't wait to see the Shingo hat with the Nike logo. By the way, TourSpecGolfer, email me back. I have been meaning to talk to you.

E-mail sent man, I'm pretty sure that Zomo will be making an entire line of clubs in the near future but i seriously doubt maru will switch from Tourstage. I have seen a couple pics in the magazines that are to poor to scan for ya guys but there are some really cool full page ads all black with just a shingo style cowboy hat with the Nike logo on it. I think shingo plays any putter he wants with no affiliation to GD Japan, Its just GD Japan Caters to him very well.

I believe Shingo is paid by Gauge - USA, but that may be going away soon as they are not getting much mileage out of the sponsorship in terms of US attention.

That is very wrong, as far as I know Shingo never played a GD U.S.A putter, He has only played Gauge Japan putters. GD Japan and GD U.S.A are two very different companies.
