Posted March 28, 200420 yr comment_31427 hey all, i wanted to see what ur opinions are on steel in the driver. i was lookin at an x100 in a k....is there any point ie will i actually gain accuracy or will i just lose distance
March 28, 200420 yr comment_31432 Steel shaft = greater control. Therefore swtich to graphite and you may lose some accuracy. Graphite shaft = greater distance. I gained approx. 15 yards on my drive switching from DGS300 to Aldila NV75S. Graphite is easier to swing and has a softer feel than steel. It's a personal preference based on the strengths and weaknesses of your game.
March 28, 200420 yr comment_31435 my opinion - if you are thinking about putting steel in your driver, play a 3 wood!
March 30, 200420 yr comment_31809 if youre bombing it over 290 carry it might be worth trying, but if not there is definetly a graphite shaft out there with your name on it.

April 1, 200420 yr comment_32112 X100 in a K is a deadly combo... Steel in titleists are very good :) Look at Tiger and Adam Scott. Scotty wuped the hell out of his k with x100. At tigers prime he was using an X100 in a D.
